Well I have just got home from work about half an hour ago after a 13 hour shift and I'm knackered! Off to bed in a mo but still wanted to get my daily fix of MSE as it motivates me to give debt busting 110%!

I haven't made a PAD today, although I did post in the PAD challenge that I paid 1 pound to the very catalogue, I had every intention of doing this however as I went to submit the payment I needed to enter my card details, and my card was downstairs and im all tucked up in bed! I will however make the payment in the morning!

Not much more to tell with regards to Debt Busting, now the initial few days after payday have gone things have slowed right down!

So i guess thats it for tonight - Night all X

Hi everyone,

I have spent the past 5 hours cleaning my kitchen! I've totalled de - cluttered the cupboards and draws, and found some loose change along the way, all of which has gone straight in the copper jar!

I really need a kick up the bum to get some things listed on ebay!

Gonna make a PAD of £2.00 today (£1 for today and £1.00 for yesterday!) and thats going to very catalogue with its 39.7% APR - boooooooooo

Morning you can't knock abit of deep cleaning and decluttering lol now kick up the bum list your eBay items lol x x I'm on nights tonight and tomorrow yay! Not! Well at least I aren't blowing loads of money. This month we have to pay the remains of the honeymoon off. Also we have got our bill from marquee company so we will be working a payment plan out with them. Day 3 of slimming world. Spent a few sins last night lol so extra careful for a good loss haha x

Good Luck with slimming world, thats my next effort to try lose weight, need to get in the right frame of my mind for it though....

Well done on clearing out the kitchen cupboards and having a good tidy up! I always find it really satisfying having everything neat and shiny when I go to the cupboards. The one thing I do love to be in order.

Hi all,

Been to work today has been OK, I haven't got a day off till Wednesday now though - boooooooooo

made a pad of £1.63 today, i will def list some ebay things over the next few days, I have some wedding related items, that I want to get rid of now that I have cancelled my wedding.

I am concerned about 1 of my loans, I tried to pay more than my monthly payment and was told this was OK over the phone, however when I checked my bank statement they only took the usual payment. OH seems to think this is because it is a loan agreement therefore I can't pay more than the agreed amount. Is this correct? Cos if it is I dont see how I can pay my debts off any sooner as I have 3 loans all together!

I think it depends on the bank. I spoke to someone who used to work at (I think!) HSBC and they said that often in the terms and conditions it states you can't pay the debt off sooner, or if you do there will be a charge and/or will pay the same amount of interest can you maybe pop in branch and arrange to talk to someone about your options? x

Thanks for the advice Ziggystardust, I will give them a ring I think next week. If I can't pay anymore I will just save in a seperate account in hope that I can save enough to settle early!

Had a settlemet figure from hitachi capital of 170 pounds (or there abouts) I've set myself a personal challenege to get rid of that and / or my nationwide overdraft before christmas.

Also working on the very catalogue! Which is now at £846, which isn't bad considering it was once near £1500.

Sometimes I wonder how it came to this, me and OH have fairly well paid jobs, and no kids, we should be enjoying our salaries and have a good lifestyle but no instead were in £20,000 worth of debt with nothing really to show for it!

Anyway no point dwelling on that fact - the only way now is up!

hi ya hun just read your diary from start to finish, and you are doing so incredibley well and you sound so very upbeat.
And the decision to cancel your wedding was obviously the right one for you, so well done on making it it must have been hard for you.

cirkey you work some long hours, bless you, i bet it's nice just to chill out once in a while.
