I'm fab thanks... :D Just having a quiet night in tonight watching DVDs. I can't be bothered walking home (~50-60 mins) from my friend's flat in the rubbish weather and as there is no transport from her end of town to mine (unless I found a rarer than hens teeth empty taxi) due to the hogmanay celebrations in Princes street and no space to stay over at hers. Its a :money: NY for me!

Don't worry... July is in my diary (well will be once I find it again - I had a bit of a clear up today and now can't find anything! )

Happy new year everyone! :T :D

*wanders off to try and locate the DVD remote control - its gone awol too* :rotfl:

Wol i'm like you waiting for a much better year ahead. I'm struggling to define why i've felt so low this year, not too many obvious things like being under threat of losing my job, the porch roof falling down on sunday, and a year spent waiting to hear the worst news about my dad.
I've decided that next year i'm going to try and take some positive action, and try to keep smiling regardless of what get thown my way at work. And be open for new posibilies in the coming year.

Happy New Year and New Decade everyone!

Squeaky weaky week to your piggies from mine.

    Hi LT

The best thing the new deacde can bring for any of us (in my humble opinion :o)..... is the acknowledgement that despite the fact we are all so far apart...we (a.k.a. YOU....)..... really DO have friends on here and (to my astonishment over the last year :o)...they WILL support you

Sorry to hear about your dad.,..and sending you all hugs, kisses and piggie licks over the internet.

You are NOT alone ...and your DFW friends will be here to encourage you throughout the jouney that is 2010. A phone number is a short PM away ;)

Hugs Hun...there's a lot of us this year sitting on our tods tonight and just "recuperating" ....but "HEY ...all you lot out there" .......that is no bad thing :D

Sending you stength and comfort...and BIG HUGS

Wow - an eventful few hours :D

I unfortunately chopped my finger into the onions while I was batch cooking bolognese...it has taken over an hour to clot :o (Ahem... my finger peepies...NOT the bolognese :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

I've had an emotional-for-me txt msge from my ex...and even more emotional phone call(s) with my bes friend. :A...Bless her

This it the first year EVER in my life I feel comfortable about being on my own on NYE.....it has taken three years of tears and angst (and phone calls to the Samaritans) to get here...so to those of you who are trying it for the first time...please get rid of all those hidden voices telling you it is wrong...it surely AINT...it is RIGHT:rotfl:for YOU THIS YEAR...... so go with the flow.

Chill out...join the band of us singeltons..light some candles, have a luxurious bath, open a nice bottle of wine, watch your favourite DVD....and be happy in your own company...

And also know that You are NOT alone...there's lots of us sending out positive vibes to you over the ether....we're all (after all) only a click away :D

Hugs to all on their tod tonight

Much love and piggie kisses (and kitchen roll to stem the bleeding :rotfl:)

    Wol my lovely,

have moved to glamorous silky pjs now & am snuggled up with Gordon. I admire your decision to do away with booze, tackled my demon many years ago & won, so can now take or leave depending on my mood. Ok, there's been a lot of 'taking' recently but I'm on holiday ;)

Wishing you much happiness, success, peace of mind & fabulousness for 2010 :)

I love being on my own on NYE.....its wonderful...a real `me` night!

Wrapped up here with laptop , slushy film, glass of lime & soda....a tired border collie snuggled up with me on the sofa ( think shes trying to push me off!!) Perfect night in!

Spent years doing what other people want me to do....now its my turn to do what I want to do!! ....& its loooovvveeellllyyyy....feel sooo chilled here & not a glass of falling down juice anywhere!

Going for a long walk tomorrow...blow the cobwebs away.

    Happy New Year xxxx

you are so right, i have made so many good friends on here, even if i never meet them or their piggies, or peedie dogs they (including you) are still good friends.

I'm with OH tonight and we're pretty happy being at home this New Years, i have never really done NY's as i'm tee total and always have been, but this is the first NY that i've been with OH that we've been able to spend the evening and NY's day together. Before he's either been at his parents (before he moved here) or at work on a 12 hour shift.

I do have to say that i'm so tired will feeling low all the time, it really gets to you. So this year i'm going to do something about the things i can actually do something about. Can't do much about the flat as it's down to others to come on board with action or just down to them to do the work, so will get my free legal advice and probably get a letter sent to the idiots upstairs. But i can do something about my weight and that's going to be my joint obsession with debt fighting in the year ahead, and it may also help with the potential third obsession of baby making (who would have ever thunk that would have been on my list).
Hope your finger heals soon it's very painful when onion juice gets into it isn't it?
