    Hi All

Thankx for all the Christmas Wishes...I am still trying to post on all the diairies so if I haven't posted on your yet, please forgive me.

Things have clearly been deterioriating over the last few weeks, I have felt so apathetic and found it very difficult to motivate myself to do anything. I think i reached rock bottom on Christmas Eve when I woke up and couldn;t stop crying for most of the morning . So having finally realised what was going on, I went out to buy some St Johns Wort - but ended up in Sainsburys and got a few last minute pressies and some gluten free sausages instead..:j:confused:...and treated myself to some DVD's :D.....but no carrots

Still, I came back home and slapped on an oestrogen patch I had left over from a couple of years ago and by the evening was feeling much more back in the land of the living . Even the wall light falling off in my hand while I was changing the light bulb didn;t phase me  (You may remember that a few months ago the curtain rail fell of the wall suddenly - it seems the light is suffering from the same problem re the raw plugs/size of drill hole etc)

Although I had been dreading it, Christmas Day with the family went OK :T- far more traffic on the roads than last year but the journey only took 5 hours round trip . Even got to watch Dr Who and can;t believe the second episode isn;t untill New Year

Piggies enjoyed their Christmas Day sprouts with (so far) no ill effects :rotfl::rotfl:
Beechie boys bottom is much happier now he is off the antibiotics......Piggie Palace was cleaned on Boxing Day ..and the stream is coping well with all the meltwater (and heavy rain we had yesterday)

So I now have to decide whether to buy a new kitchen/tiles etc before 31st Dec VAt deadline, ready for when I hopefully am able to re-do it next spring (assuming the Ombudsman finds in my favour). I also have a shopping list of other items I would like to get now rather than wait til the New Year including oil filled radiator, PC stuff etc. I shall resist the temptation to go the the sales for clothes (hopefully ;))

Rest of this week is focusing on the accounts/paperwork/tax return so I'm all up to date and ready for 2010. I shall be relieved to get rid of all the piles of paperwork sitting on every available surface because I have been too apathetic to sort/file it this year :o...(Wol adds new shredder onto her shopping list :D)

That's all for now - hope you have all had a cool Yule....and I shall be only too pleased to join in the virtual festivities with you all and welcome in 2010.

    xxx

Hello Wol, glad Christmas Day with the family wasn't too painful. Am also looking forward to Doctor Who on New Years Day, also Gavin and Stacey- will Nessa marry Dave Coaches or galumpf off into the sunset with Smithy, baby Neil, a large Vindaloo and a crate of Irn Bru, leaving all the neighbours wondering "what's occurrin?" Let's hope we all have a fabulous New Year celebration and a prosperous 2010. Regards to the menagerie in their Piggie Palace.

hi wol - don't know if you have a Lidl's near you - but they are doing 2kw oil filled radiator with integral 500w blower for £29.99

I think that's good. + had a huge bag of sprouts for 29p - so if your piggies can stand another dose of them that should see them through for a while
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

:(......Unfortunately Whisp..(that's her on the right)....died this afternoon on the way to the vet following a sudden and unexpected collapse (very similar to Pebble). I'm pretty miffed as the normal vet practice (not my usual vet however) wouldn;t see her as an emergency when I found her at 2.30 pm with suspected heart attack/stroke... and made me wait until surgery opened at 5pm which was obviously too late :(.

So........ now we finally have a body for PM.
But of course the Law that is SOD has decreed that Vulture Vet is away until 7th January.....and as tomorrow is a bank holiday I can;t take her in until tuesday - :mad:Not good enough I'm afraid :naughty:..... as bacterial cultures really need to be taken with immediate haste if we are to have a chance of identifying this horrible bug so I am pushing for Vulture Vet's colleague to ring back with instructions to hopefully take her in today to take cultures and then do a PM on tuesday before it is too late to find out anything.

RIP sweetheart - the tiniest most dainty guinea yet with bags of personality, who always reminded me of a ballerina in a tutu. You have made the ultimate sacrifice and I hope it won;t be wasted. Don;t worry, I will bring your body back so you can rest alongside your piggie friends in Guinea Grove :kisses3:

sorry to hear your news Wol, she was a very beautiful piggie. sending you hugs as squeaks from my two fur babies.

are you going to go to the dr's for some more patches if the one you used before christmas helped you? sounds like you could do with a little help, which isn't surprising given what's been thrown at you recently.
