That's a lovely pome KC...
Hope you;re feeling a bit better this wekeend LT.....:grouphug:
I slept in this morning...:D..now on third cup of tea and mentally preparing myself forthe big cage disinfection and re-organisation about to take place._pale_ which will be an all day job.
Long chat with vet yesterday about repiratory infections vs heart issues and pleural effusion ...I :smileyhea my new vets...I'm starting to think it was a maybe a respiratory infection that started things off but has put a strain on their hearts hence the fluid in the lungs but we shall see.
Re-checking Grommie's previous X rays showed fluid on the lungs and possibly an enlarged heart but we will just keep him on antibiotics for now and see how Muffin and Beech do first on the new meds. Grommie is making less horrible noises now and has perked up a bit. So has Muffin but Beechie is still showing no signs of improvement. Ginger's eye is almost completely healed so no need for any vet intervention :T:T which surprised us all.
Whisp now going in for heart/lungs X ray on tuesday together with Fleure to check stones progress (bladder etc all clear although she is still in pain so we are slightly upping pain meds and keeping our paws crossed these stones in her kidneys are being slowly dissolved by the meds)
Lots to do this weekend - didn;t keep the work on target yesterday afternoon as other clients "intruded" so need to catch up and do the invoicing...(have a lot of vet bills to pay this month :whistle:..and have a month's worth of ironing to do.....good thing its free viewing on Sky movies for us minimum package skinflints this weekend
. Actually also remembered to buy my "Halloween offerings" yesterday for the expected doorsteppers tonight
.....
Back later

Phew...what a day
First a mad dash to the vet before they closed to pick up some more painkiller (completely forgot to ask for more yesterday :wall::wall::doh:)
Next, cleaned and bleached everything in Piggie palace and hoovered everywhere. Unfortunately I hadn;t counted on the cages taking so long to dry so had to apply a hairdryerotherwise we would have had a "temporary hutch logistical nightmare".
While I was doing this the piggies were in runs I had set up at the other end of the palace (with garage doors wide open to let air circulate)so I'm actually quite pleased they got to stretch their little leggies and be exposed to natural daylight for quite a while......especially as the sun came out this afternoon :T
I'm actually feeling really upbeat as I think I have almost got myself organised with the pigs now after the manic month. I've rearranged the layout and whole functionality of Piggie Palace, Have decided not to put my gym kit in there but to use the space instead for their "exercise" area with the indoor runs.
I am cautiously optimistic about Beech and Muffin (although she needs her teeth checked next Xay as her mouth seems rather full of food when I give her the meds) so this evening have put them back into Piggie Palace. Grommie and Fleure will remain inside the house and will be relocated to a larger plastic cage in the lounge. I finally finished Piggie Palace at 8.30 this evening
The wooden cages currently in the dining room will go back into Piggie Palace tomorrow after they have been cleaned out and disinfected. That means I get my dining room back :j.
So, I have just been to Tatco Express and bought a very nice Microwave Chicken, chorizo and prawn Paella (it was the only ready meal without gluten) and picked up my credit card I left there yesterday :wall::wall::doh:
I have been treated........and tricked ....(some green slime on my front door). Guess the tricksters couldn;t be bothered to investigate the mad hoovering going on from the garage amidst a blaze of lights....the treaters had no such reservation :rotfl::rotfl:
And without futher ado i am off to eat, drink and be merry.....
Happy Halloween folks

enjoy your ready meal, we had a real treat a take away and have rented some dvd's for a belated OH birthday celebration.
you forget during summer how slow the hutches dry in winter don't you! and how little the piggies can streach their legs.0 -

Bit of an up and down tonight.....Fleure was clearly in a lot of pain earlier and I was seriousy thinking about whether to put her to sleep...Grommie was desperately trying to comfort her....(aww bless...and I don;t think he wants to lose her..and it was heartbreaking to watch).....then I decided to organise stuff and put them in their new quarters...and suddenly abracadabra.....all her woes disappeared..
.Hmmm susspect there is some piggie psychology coming into play here :think:

Thanks for popping in :A
How's you and the family? .....and how's the knee.....I hope you;re behaving yourself and letting nature do it;s healing work rather than trying to hurry it along
Hopefully now I;ve seen the back of October things are starting to calm down now and I feel a bit more "in control".
Having a last ditch effort this week to catch up so I will be up to date on the work front and can then start on the accounts in preparation for paying the tax man _pale_
Catch you later Hun
