Interestingly (ok it was scarey :o:o).......Grommie too had a sudden (negative) "volte face" following the anaesthetic at the new vets. :(..mental note for Wol to follow this up with both vets in terms of procedure/what they use etc.......never had this problemo before ......

    So now we have
    a) Fleure..lively..... but won;t eat .... and no poos uness force fed _pale_
    b) Grommie....eating anything he sees..very bloated abdomen....some small poos...but very sluggish..:o

Between the two of them I might just have a functioning guinea pig :rotfl::rotfl:

Having said that..there sis a world of difference between today and yesterday :T:T

And more good news.....Bandit's wounds are now healed over...no breaks in the skin..no "personal bits infections" ...and he is looking very healthy...so he now we just have to wait until we wean him off the antibiotics in a couple of weeks time

I is now a happy piggie mummy :D:D:j:j...for the moment...

    Off to crash peepies,....xxxx...

Don't worry Wol, there's another two euros' worth in the cupboard! Hope you've had a good sleep, and the piggies are doing well overnight.

    Ooh thank you KC...:beer::beer:

Hmm had good sleep last night...but new worries today: Grommie aint eating much or pooing properly and has lost 40g overnight and another 30g over course of today  He is now at his lowest weight ever...under 1kg . So another all night feeding frenzy/poo watching ensues and back to vet tomorrow. It may be his teeth have been filed slightly too short so he can;t eat well, or there is some bleeding to gums..which should resolve in a couple of days provided I can keep him fed properly...but it may be something else :confused:

(Numpty...he's floated a few air biscuits..............loving that phrase.....:rotfl::rotfl:...but not enough to get rid of all the gas in his tummy yet....:o)

    Some good news:
My biopsy results were (and I quote) "unremarkable"...so I think that means :T:j:rotfl:
Fleure's stone is calcite (ie carbonate NOT oxalate). :j....wow that was quick.:T..especially compared to my results :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Vet is happy to write out prescription to see if we can dissolve the ones in the kidneys :j:j
Despite the fact the temperature has bombed to below 3degC tonight :eek:...Piggie Palace is still registering 12deg C min temp so the heating system is working well..:D.....maybe I will keep Economy 7 afterall ;)
Haven't done much client work over last two days.:o....too brain dead to focus properly.....but have done my Flood forum bits including writing entry for local magazine, updating mailing list and drafting newsletter plus reports to go round to all residents......

So must do big work session tomorrow to ensure I am prepared for all the client meetings next week...(I am out every day )...and then planting up the Monkey Garden this weekend :j:beer:
Hugs to everyone......and wheeek wheeks from all the piggies to their favourite aunties and uncles

**excellent** news on your biopsy, Wol - sorry you've had another night of piggie watching, tho, for you and the piggies. I'm not surprised client work has kind of gone to the wall - but I hope you can get more sleep than this if you've got lots of meetings next week. Worried for you.

Wol - am pleased to hear that you had the all clear from the biopsy. As for air biscuits - that's a good name for trumps:eek: Piggies will be fine - maybe Grommie has come out in sympathy with Fleure?

Oh - please can you check your PMs too - I have sent you a code so that you can save £97 on a brilliant business seminar - your nearest is at the Hilton, Gatwick on 13 October.

There's nothing like being a dirty stop out either - I am off for a week lapping up the warmer air in Spain and then I come back to be manipulated by Mauro (or do I cancel?) and then on Tuesday I have a different networking group to go to - more my kind of people really better than the BNI bunch and membership to all groups (not just one) works out at £97.75 cheaper than BNI:j

Thanx everyone - will reply tomorrow to all your posts.

Last few days have been bed at 4am up at 7am..... as both Grommie and Fleure stopped eating and went downhill again

Suffice to say, I gave Grommie some Infacol (wind medicine for kids)..which seems to be doing the trick albeit slowly...:rotfl::rotfl:

...and increased Fleure's pain medication in consultation with the vet

Still force feeding....and had them playing around for8 hours last night ('til 3am ) on a white cheapie throw (bought from tatco the other day for £2) to monitor output...and unfortunately they have not co-operated as yet.....I think they are being sneaky...and I'm SURE that Grommie and Fleure have been eating each others poos...who says piggies don;t have a (slightly vindicative) sense of humour :rotfl::rotfl:

This morning during a 4hour monitoring session, they finally woofed down a load of grass...but I'm not convinced...after all been there, T shirt etc......so if I don;t see visible "evidence" during the monitoring session tonight (which will only be a couple of hours as I am shattered)..then it;s back to vets tomoz.

Spent this afternoon winding down.....at Tatco....i.e. going to a big store and taking the trolley up the escalator to mooch around . Also two pet shops for special piggie straw that is the only thing Fleure will eat atm ..;)............and two garden centres :eek:.....found a lot of the shrubs on my list for half price :T:T....and have arranged them in the garden. If weather is fine will start planting tomorrow morning but must work in the afternoon to catch up all time missed this last week.

Found out that the UFO (Unidentified Frozen Object :rotfl:) I was having for tea was bolognese.....:T

Now it's back to piggie nursing for rest of evening..then a long hot bath and bed...or maybe I'll skip the bath and just crash:D

I think the last time I felt this physically and emotionally stressed/drained was during the flood two years ago :o

    Hugs to all.....
