Yep Numpty...Fleure now seems to be out of danger and is now holding her weight with all the syringe feeding.:j:j..hopefully all will be fine after her dental tomorrow and she'll be eating solids and back up to normal weight over the next few days.

Rest of pigs, including Beechie, seem fairly chipper (Bailey is keeping Muffin occupied although i gave her a long cuddle today cos I think she's wondering where Pebble is..every time I go into the garage she comes to the front of the cage and starts talkin to me). Grommie is learning how to be a frugal MSE'r.....he hoovered up the remains of Fleure's critical care rather than let me throw it away :rotfl::rotfl:.
(makes mental note to get Grommie and Beechie's teeth checked in the near future)

Sigh......however..:o...while bathing Bandit's wounds again tonight I found that his naughty bits are now looking quite swollen....it's possible the infection might be back and moving downwards..._pale_.but I'm praying he could just be reacting to the bathing lotion. I won;t go into details of eactly what is swollen...:o...but suffice to say I'm very worried about the possible implications of this latest development.

So must now do another complete cage change for Bandit and this time give him a white towel so I can easily monitor his output .....and of course...back to vet tomorrow.

I am feeling very tired and drained tonight.......:(

That's lovely Lemon tree...glad to hear they're getting the last of the summer sun/grass before winter sets in. I'm hoping to let mine out next weekend....providing the weather's warm and the grass has dried out.

  • Oh Wol i am so sorry to read of your Guinea pig troubles. Its very hard, I remember the constant checking and feeding when the rats were ill. Draining is exactly the wordxxxxxxx

I popped on to say I am picking up two guinea pig girls next Saturday, they are about 5 months old and unwanted due to their owner being allergic, I don't know entirely what to expect but there you go, rescues are always interesting.

I really hope your little furries are good tonight

Ey up Wol and gang :D

...keep up the good work with them piggies hun, sounds like some good progress with Fleure :) Hope the vet's sympathetic if you do go over there today....and STOP thinking about if he's eye-candy just now....that can wait 'till he's healed the pigs first ;):D;)

Caught up on the Night Owls earlier....including the details of a Cryptosporidium outbreak in our area

Keep us updated Wol....and good luck later :)

Oh dear....Crypto is not nice..(especially for people who can;t move very fast because they have just had surgery to thier knee :rotfl:)..although it's not quite the saem dramatic effect as Agent Picolax :rotfl::rotfl:

Its normally found to be contamination of the water supply by water runnng off some fields somewhere with livestock in ..and/or the chlorination isn;t sufficient ....(.I used to sell a diagnostic kit for Crypto to the path labs ;)) Make sure you boil all drinking water/use bottled water until they find out the cause/source and sort it
