Good morning Wol, we had horrendous thunderstorms up here last night, hope things were a bit calmer down Sussex way?

    Morning Nargle

I was following the weather last night up your way - sounds like there has been a lot of rain falling very quickly up there and that it's of the tropical variety (ie very large wet drops). I feel very sad for anyone up there who is flooded - not a nice experience. I hope the chicckies are not too bedraggled today and the storms haven;t put them off laying.

We're still waiting for some decent rain or even our first thunderstorm of the summer down here. We are approaching a state of drought - the stream is the lowest I have seen it since .....oh........since July 3 years ago ...oh, maybe I shouldn;t have said that - all this talk about history repeating itself ..:D

I now keep an eye on 3 weather sites - the best one being Accuweather as it tells you how much rain to expect over how long for your location - but it doesn;t tell you the actual o'clock the rain is expected. Metcheck is fast off the mark issuing convective weather advisories (for those sudden flash flood thunderstorms etc), and met office warnings (BBC is slow) and it forecasts on a three hourly basis And finally BBC weather staellite piccies where you can plot the rain movement on a map and therefore get an idea of the actual time it is due to fall. Between them I manage to get a pretty accurate forecast so I now know when to put the flood doors up and bring the piggies inside.

Well so far it's forecasting that The Rave will be gloriously sunny and 27deg :j....and there is little rain expected before then so unless we get a sudden convective front emerge and come at us from France, it's all systems go for an outdoor event

Sorry you can;t make it down as would have been lovely to see you - hope you;ll be able to get down here next year

That is a lot of money! Good luck with it all.

I'm good - just started a new job which is great, doing lots of housey things, and still ploughing through the debt repayments as ever.

I think your new diary title should not mention water in any shape or form! :rotfl:

Hooray to the new job :T:T...

.:( to the debt repayment - we can but plod on.....we will get there in the end :D.

After last night's thunderstorms it has been beautiful blue skies and sunshine, I even got to sit out in the garden this afternoon and caught a bit of the sun (not too much as I am fair skinned).

I will put the Golden Anniversary in my diary and see what I can do.....in the meantime, I will try and get online and say hello to all you drunken swine sorry lovely people..........

Titles for your new diary - the words Rejuvenation and Reincarnation come to mind? Or Wol's Requiem for the past and Rev up for the future diary?

Yes so I see BOB - I've been following the smutty banter on your diary today;) - "flash floods" and "flash"vegetables ........that Pepe is rather norty :rotfl::rotfl:

He does have a unique perspective on life:rotfl::rotfl:

Funny though how these floods always seem to happen on the last day of term - cue Twighlight zone musicYep- always the way, but rather good timing as it stops mischief from kids as well:rotfl:

Anyhow i hope there's not too much damage up your way - it's a rather excessive way of cleaning the carpets and washing the windows :rotfl:

House is looking rather shiny come to think of it;)

Not so sure about a diary title- rather like the trial and retribution one:D
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hello Wol & all other wonderfuls who appear here :D

That's all I can manage for now, my brain all dusty & echoey tonight.

Not sure about the whole pitching a tent malarkey to be honest, but will definitely throw sleeping bag, knickers & toothbrush in the car as I am probably too grown up to do the walk of shame these days ...

    cue hysterical laughter ;)
