Horace, may be too late but i have about 70 plastic favour dishes from when i made my wedding favours.

Wol, hope all is well with you and your piggies. My piggies have been moved outside into the fresh air and the bunny is now semi free range in that he's got his run attached to the hutch and can come and go as he pleases now.

    Hi LT

I am very jealous of your free range bun - I'm considering getting some cages wit integral runs for the summer for the pigs :D. I did manage to get the pigs out in the runs on concrete yesterday for an hour or so each :T..but not moving them outside permanently until end of May.

Unfortunately I put weed and feed on my lawns last week (well obviously because i was expecting snow over last weekend :o) so they are no-go areas for the next 6 weeks. At least the dandelions in the village are starting to sprout now and I made my first harvest for the pigs on friday afternoon....:j Hopefully this will now cut down on the the weekly shopping bills for green veggies.

All my piggies bar Bandit and Bailey (different genes) are now on heart meds either once or twice a day to stop the fluid build up in their lungs and tummies that makes it difficult for them to breathe :(- (had to up the doses last week for Beechie, Iroko and Grommie after a scare..and huge vets bill ). As long as I keep the dosing regular and up it when necessary, they seem to be fine ..the dandelions coming back online will also help as they are a natural diuretic....(makes for an awful lot of wee though :o)

Wol trundles off to put another load of stinky towels in the washing machine _pale_

    Yesterday was manic:
Two loads in the dishwasher. Picked up more guinea meds from the vets. Spent most of the afternoon cleaning out piggies and moving the indoor ones (Iroko Ginger and Muffin) back into PP. (Grommie and Beech will move upstairs later in the month) Also started reorganising PP in preparation for the building work. Managed to pot up some of my cheapie perenniels i bought (Hostas, Liatra and Astilbes) plus did a bit of pruning/tidying in the garden. Did 7 loads of washing yesterday  ..(mainly bedlinen from all the guests and then loads of towels from piggie cages) .and have three loads more today but then up to date. In the evening I did some ironing to Harry Potter/Touch of Frost...but still loads left to do. I also spent quite a lot of time thinking about logistics and moving everything around and where it would go while the builders are in.

    Today I MUST
    a) Prepare for tomorrow's client meeting - about 3 hours delving into a computer spreadsheet cash flow forecast
    b) Put my project plan and list of tasks together - another 3 hours I reckon
    c) Prepare client invoices outstanding from last month (on purpose - new tax year etc etc;))
    d) Organise stuff for auction valuation
    e) Clear up the kitchen

I have the kitchen designer and removal firm both coming tuesday morning so have earmarked monday afternoon to tidy the house. Wednesday I have a load of work (reconciling accounts over the last three years) to do from home in preparation for a meeting thursday and then am out to dinner with my friend and colleague thursday evening. Friday morning I am taking my stuff to the auctioneers for valuation and possible sale and friday afternoon I have an appointment with the bank manager to go through my finances/pensions etc so need to sort out all the paperwork before then .

And with that I must whoosh or I will lose momentum and stay in my dressing gown on MSE all day :D

    Back later peeps

Wol, I'm with Horace and Numpty on this one - the rave doesn't have to be a super performance in a perfectly renovated house - everyone from on here who's coming knows you and loves you for who you are - in fact, I bet quite a few would be interested if there werestill "before" bits of your house left, to see what *was*, and not only the achievements. I'm not sure if I've put that in quite the right way, but hopefully the spirit comes through - people who've supported you through thick and thin simply don't care if all the finishing touches have been done. As long as there's somewhere to sit down (and there is, cos there's grass) and sing "gin gan goolie", we'll be fine!

We are having a bit of a crisis at the moment. OH hasnt been in work for abour 6 weeks because we have no car so are managing on just my income. Although dad has said that we can borrow the money off him for the boiler I am not taking him up on it yet incase I need to borrow money to pay bills  We should be ok though but will wait until OH is back to work before taking on the boiler repairs! xx
