Hi All
Sorry to go AWOL...thigs not been going so well lately.
Possible BIG problems identified last week with kitchen sub-floor - (aka 30cm block concrete that was poured in as part of flood protection scheme may need to be chipped out and repoured in toto :eek:) .......Solicitors, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors etc etc now all consulted and plan of action agreed which will be mega hassle but at aleast hopefully I am taking steps to protect my interests. Fingers well and truly crossed it won;t come to this as otherwise I think I shall just give up and bulldoze the house.
Ombudsman - had reply ....not good..:(.but not (yet) completely bad - just means loads more work for me to do..including taking new photos of delapidated house and providing a "rebuttal" to insurance company's observations for some of my claims totalling ONLY approx £2k (remember the claim I submitted was for £70k :eek:) - time time time hassle hassle hassle. Good news is insurance co have now agreed to pay the vet bill claim to accomodate the guinea pigs for the weekend immediately after the flood ...all of £50.28 against the £70k claim :eek:. Baby steps :rotfl::rotfl:...we will deal with the remaining £68k as the Ombudsman [STRIKE]decides[/STRIKE] gets round to it- the good news is that it is still being considered and hasn;t been ruled upon yet
Good news - family member second op last week has been a success - now got to sort out the radiotherapy stuff etc. They are making their own choices to go homeopathic and I am pleased their consultant is supporting them in this.
Finally sussed out today what is going on for me and hopefully will explain my absence on MSE - have entered 4th stage of grief (not for loss of partner but for loss of my previous life).......Depression/reflection/Loneliness..
Just when your friends may think you should be getting on with your life, a long period of sad reflection will likely overtake you. This is a normal stage of grief, so do not be "talked out of it" by well-meaning outsiders. Encouragement from others is not helpful to you during this stage of grieving.During this time, you finally realize the true magnitude of your loss, and it depresses you. You may isolate yourself on purpose, reflect on things you did with your lost life, and focus on memories of the past. You may sense feelings of emptiness or despair.
I'm obviously a "late developer "......:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
What's very clear is that life sucks right now....I can;t focus, I can;t complete even the client work, I have no enthusiasm, I don;t want to do anything.....I just want to wake up tomorrow and everything will be alright again and I can put this horrendously bad dream behind me. I know that can;t happen ...but it doesn;t stop me wishing for it
I know I'll get through this - it just feels pretty carp atm
