Well done on the private clients, the disposal of the usurper and the tv programme (get your house done up for free - sounds good to me), not sure what to say about the 2nd interview - its up to you whether you go or not but do you want to be tied down to working in London (a place that you hate) and having to rely on the tube, people spreading their bodily fluids onto everything that you may touch (eewww), long hours, stress and leave poor piggies to fend for themselves (or get up to mischief).

I had a good day, my plan worked and I got rid of some of my stress hearts. Managed to stop off at the farmers market and get 3 nice pasties from 19gales (this is a farm based in Atherstone who use homegrown meat and veg from local farmers and turn them into yummy delights), nipped into Waterstones and came out with 3 books:j (but not the toxic mother syndrome one) and then I gave £2 for a Big Issue and then got chatting to the seller who told me that he had set up his own cleaning business but had to fold it after he split with his girlfriend - she was the driver but also had no business brain and wanted to stay home stuffing her face with ice cream, it was so cold standing there that I delved into my handbag and produced 2 books of luncheon vouchers and told him to use them to get a hot meal and a drink (they can be used in all sorts of places - he was over the moon when he saw that he could use them in Macdonalds) - call me a big old softie.:D

Have been making use of the new recycling bins outside (these are the size of a domestic wheelie bin) - the council have extended the recycling to flats:j - I have nearly filled the paper bin with 3 months' worth of newspapers, the glass bin is being steadily filled with old coffee jars, an empty but clean baked bean tin has gone in that bin too. Well I s'pose I had better do some work now:D

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:....Well put like that Horace :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I decided earlier today I m not going to the interview as I have far too much on to waste time this weekend preparing a presentation on a nefarious subject and then write off monday going back into London for a job i have no intention of accepting. Also it will mean i don;t have to fork out to have my hair done just yet and I will save a further £50 travel costs plus won;t lose another day's earnings. I worked out today that the full cost to me of following this interview process through from start to finish (including time spent on travel & preparation and lost earnings) would have been £1000.00....

My diary is now booked with client appointments every day for the next two weeks and in between I have to fit in preparation and write up work :eek:

Well I got through the first round telephone interview with the BBC today :DThis weekend I now have to put together a file of documentation and photos so they can do their "due diligence". If they decide to select me, filming would occur any time in the next three months (sooner rather than later ) so i now HAVE to get my house tidy enough (and quickly ) so that they can actually see the defective work to film it :o . They are backing down a bit on the refurbishment of £25k - but even if I just manage to get the kitchen floor and work tops done that would be brilliant!

Had a nice chat and cuppa with KC - (thanx Hun - was lovely to see you and glad you are feeling better even though it is slow porgress :kisses3:......the retaining wall is beautiful and makes such a difference ) Hopefully we can meet up again before too long :D

Of course Taka - send me your email addy via PM and I'll send you details this weekend - that goes for the rest of you lovely peeps - eg Taxi, BOB, Beanie, Penguin, Lemon Tree, Horace, Lula, Buffy, Nargle, Gemzzie, Shaun, Chev...to name but a few :D. I already have George, Angie and Tixy plus those whose emails i already have - Z, Numpty, Boo and KC - and will PM a couple of others from other threads (and some who are missing-in-action like Poor, Olive, GunJack, Piglet and Rog).

I'm looking forward to this - so unless anyone has any further objections i think we've finally settled on 31st July :j:j

Off to bed as very tired again after early start this morning...still loads of work to do but need to get up early and do some before I have to leave for another client meeting tomorrow lunchtime...then counselling in the evening, then two client appointments friday. Roll on the weekend - I must do some ironing as I have now completely run out of decent T shirts to wear with my business suits .

I am aware that I am now overstretched - forgot to put the bins out today for the green recycling  - and really need to start building in some domestic chore as well as some actual chill time over the next few weeks....however March is always like this workwise and it really is a case of making hay while the sun etc as April and May will be (hopefully) a lot quieter and i will then get a chance to sort out the garden, do the rodentology course and get the kitchen sorted.

At least Beechie's tummy seems to have settled down again after his two days of Zantac :)......and Grommie's breathing is back to normal again after his steam baths :T.. (Forgot to say I had to separate Ginger and Grommie - not becauseof fighting - but because Ginger as dominant pig acted as sentry and stopped Grommie gaining access to food and poor Grommie got stressed, lost weight and developed a scurfy coat :(. Ginger went back in his own pad a couple of weeks ago and Grommie is now back to his normal happy self :)

    Nite all

That sounds a really positive decision.

Your hair looked lovely! Tho I must say I would like to initiate myself into the mysteries of hair dye - I meant to do it over the Christmas break.... maybe my deadline can be your party, Wol?
I worked out today that the full cost to me of following this interview process through from start to finish (including time spent on travel & preparation and lost earnings) would have been £1000.00....
:eek::eek: Lots and lots and *lots* of rude words! You better not go! I know this is a busy time of year, because of end-year financial stuff going on, but really - your present earnings situation seems to be really positive... (witness statement below, guv! I rest my case)

It was lovely to see you,Wol, and so nice that it was *daytime*, and I wasn't therefore a quivering wreck.... you could indeed bring your ironing (and if you happened to bring a piggy that couldn't be separated from you, well, that would be reasonable, wouldn't it?)
Rog!!!! Haven't seen him on the boards in ages - mind you, I've been a bit focussed.... I think Olive's going to be out in Africa permanently by May - good for her, not good for the party.
I'm looking forward to this - so unless anyone has any further objections i think we've finally settled on 31st July :j:j
And can I just add :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

    Domestics and chilltime - essential!

Awwwwwwwww. When I had my cats, and I put out a bowl of food for each, the dominant one would push the other one out of the way; t'other would go to the abandoned bowl, but the dominant one would then go back to that one, it was like a game of pass the parcel. Glad Grommie is good, anyway.

It is indeed. We have 2 girlies, born 24/12/09 as of yet unnamed (DD and DS are picking names). One is red with a white stripe down her nose and the other is a lighter red almost lemony coloured. They are Abyssinian cross so fluffy but not too mad and very cute! The lady re-checked the sex of them in front of us. Will put some pics up when they come out of hiding for more than a millisecond :j:j xxx
