    Wol hun,

it's taken me this long to read through to the end of your diary so far - had to stop for a cold shower or two half way through :D

Ooops sorry - just posted another one - you'll be a very clean girl by the end of today :rotfl::rotfl:

gosh its all been a bit wow, boo, hiss, yay, etc but I'm glad to see that you'll be insisting on a referral re your hand.

Take care my dear & once all DDs birthdays & school settling in dealt with we shall do something fishy again ;):D

    hugs

    Lula
    xx

ps - your concern over cliffs much appreciated :A

    Hi Lula

Oooh something fishy yes please ....talking of which my friend has just given me some rather large trout they caught recently........now safely stashed in the freezer awaiting suitable celebratory occasion (nom nom)

Have you any plans on celebrating the birthdays? And wlll they be DFW or are you over a barrel (....figuratively speaking of course ....don;t want to provide a cue for Z to [STRIKE]smut[/STRIKE] make subtle innuendo :D)

Yes...we were all quite worried you might have had to brave the possibility of being rescued by Portuguese firemen (until the news said the people involved were all Portugese) Nevertheless, we were very relieved to see you back and posting :T

Hope the school settling goes well and DD1 is "still on course!"

So much for doing loads of work today - I went to Tatco express (Sorry Lula :o) to stock up on milk and nicotine...and bought a Sunday Times - haven't read a paper for years......and 4 hours later realised the house was freezing so am now cooking the duck and looking forward to a full roast with runner beans from the garden:j

Must not be too hard on myself - it is sunday after all which is meant to be a day of rest....:D...and it's grey and windy and cold........:(...and I am DETERMINED not to put the heating on just yet :o...and I DO have to prepare myself for the Totty party tomorrow ;);)

Been fascinated by two pieces of news today - one is that a Farm attraction up the road from me has been closed as it is suspected it is the source of an E coli outbreak (13 kids gone down with it - not nice ).......which left me worrying about whether and why the Agricultural show that was held two weeks later just down the road had been ruled out.......(oops sorry Numpty - we went there didn;t we - hope you're feeling Ok flower ;):rotfl:)

Second is the uproar surrounding Freecycle - a lot of the Uk groups have broken away and are now operating as Freegle -

Read the comments after the article (It's building up to a real Arms DT:rotfl::rotfl:) - and watch for the lawyers stepping in to earn packets

Oh dear El.......I really must apologise to you and all of the gals....:o.

..I DO realise I should have given you fair warning of the Totty party tomorrow so you could make the necessary arrangements to attend..;)..(naughty Wol :naughty::naughty::naughty:.)...

..and I DO realise how selfish is must seem, me having all this totty to myself..:rolleyes:

...however tbh until saturday evening I didn;t know there would be one (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :whistle::whistle:) :rotfl::rotfl:

Hee hee - I'm already packing :shhh: :D

As regards the freecycle debacle ( imagine the accent over the a, cant work out how to do that :o) try checking out the it's good for polar bears or something similar site.

there's a thread over on either OS or Green & ethical all about it but as I'm so dumb I cant post links either  ..... Can easily get myself over a barrel though if necessary ;)

Doing the birthdays on the cheap this year & DD1 on holiday as I type :mad:. DD1 getting money towards a laptop & a meal out. Little DD getting various goodies paid for by survey points ;) & a bit of spare cash & having bessfriend to sleepover & a day out at Chessington courtesy of a bogof ticket & probably the Barclaycard - if I can remember where I hid it :rotfl:.

Have to have cheap birthdays this year - my car needs a new cambelt :( & I need to 'wine' on a regular basis. It's all about priorities in this house :p:D

Hey Wol - thats nice to have a day reading the paper!

As far as freecycle is concerned, my local group has closed down, and reopened with the same people adminstering it, I'll send you the link if you want.

And top totty! Hurray - but what's this about a top totty party? I realise now I missed it in your big post this morning - tell, please, tell all!

Phwoarr...Wol..the sight of that new totty almost made me swoon:rotfl:

Hurrah for a weatherproof house, new piggie home, new garden and new drawbridge:D As for the E-Coli outbreak - if the kiddywinks had washed their hands properly after cuddling up to the animals before they ate their sandwiches that might have helped:rolleyes:

I visited my parents this afternoon and came home with a fillet of beef (only a tiny joint) and some freshly picked tomatoes - had to laugh as my mum asked me to draw around her feet - she wants to order some AA fitting shoes and she can either get them mail order or drive to Bath (she hates driving and hasnt really driven for 2 years:rolleyes:) so mailorder is the option. So I had to draw around her feet and measure her instep etc - not easy when dad is making comments and I am laughing:rolleyes: Mum gave me some instructions as to what I should do if she pops her clogs first - I must contact her friend over the road and ask for the number of someone who does cleaning - so I asked why dad would want someone to cook and clean because he wasnt going to be there as I was going to put him into a home:rotfl: Dad heard what I said which was funny because he had been saying pardon all afternoon and we were having to shout and yet as soon as the mere thought of him being put in a home was voiced then his hearing miraculously returned:eek:

Lula - I thought DD1 had her car insurance paid for by the Bank of Mum and that was to be her birthday present?

Good news - Looks like he's now stable - ears are not so hot and he's eaten most of his greens. Hates the antibiotics though - real struggle to get him to open his mouth this morning :rotfl::rotfl:

Just give him the choice: Either he takes the tablet from the front, or he takes it from the back...
