Hospital appointment is on thursday. They rang and brought it forward to 08.30 in the morning - consultant will be doing the op himself and now wants to chat with me beforehand........hopefully also give me the results of the coeliac and allergy tests...(which is basically wheat, dairy and eggs from my own experiments )......This now means a 2 hour rush hour drive round the M25 to get there and having to leave at 06.30 :eek::eek:...

Agent picolax did it's work yesterday Olive....

Thankfully it was not as bad as the account below - (if there hadn't have been so much action going on for me yesterday I might have also weed myself when I read it:o)

I should add that this comes with a public health warning for profane language and is VERY descriptive....but SO true!! :rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi all

Thank you all for your good wishes and thoughts. So yet another one of life's experiences to add to the list - preferably under the "avoid" section ;)

Well the sedative was obviously very mild, I was first in at 8.30.... and was out of hospital by 11am. After sleeping all afternoon I am feeling quite chipper :j - which surprises me as the last sedative I was given a few years ago had me away with the fairies until late evening (so much so that I ended up face down in the local graveyard to sniff the recently cut hedges and then standing distractedly in the middle of the main road while a juggernaut bore down on me. Luckily my minder at the time had long arms and managed to yank me out of both situations and escort me without further incident to the local pizza parlour for dinner)

So Special thanks to my driver and minder this time, who is looking after me for the next 24 hours but clearly will not be so highly entertained by my antics as last time

To be honest I was just expecting this to be a routine "well as part of the diagnostic pathway, we have to do this next to rule this out before we can do any further tests" ..as it seemed pretty clear cut to everyone from the symptoms and the exclusion diet that this was food based (although the coeliac test was negative:T). In my mind, the procedure was really just to check that there had been no lasting damage from the effects of the last three years while I got the diet under control. I was therefore a bit floored when they told me afterwards they had taken some biopsies _pale__pale_ ......results in a few days (or maybe longer if Royal Mail are involved :rotfl:) So everything I was worried about didn;t happen...and the one thing I wasn;t worried about actually did :confused:

Seems appropriate to say something philosphical here ...but I can;t for the life of me think what.........except maybe *hit happens :rotfl::rotfl:

Back to piggie talk tomorrow - Bandit is back in the vets (this time with Aunty Ro)......so hopefully he won;t mind too much if she needs to play with his bits ;)

Good lord..... well, the link is *hysterical* - trust a scouser to write like that ..... and then i read your 2nd, longer post, that deals with the biopsies taken - and, come to that, standing in front of a juggernaut, which isn't highly recommended either ....

I'm very glad you've come through this! Boy, I bet you are too .... hope you have a good sleep tonight.

Sorry I missed your horsepickle day stay :( Sedatives these days are a lot better as they don't make you so dopey although sometimes it helps if you are dopey to begin with:rotfl: (like me). Are they still using Agent Picolax - that stuff should have a government health warning on it:eek: I shall go back and read the linky about it too.

That's the thing with quacks - they have you in for one thing and whilst you are there they decide to look at and do something else that you weren't expecting:eek: If your coeliac test was negative and yet bread makes you feel unwell are you allergic or intolerant to something that is in the bread such as yeast for instance?

I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for posting that linky Wol - I have been howling like a baboon whilst reading it..I laughed so hard I have tummy ache and the hiccups.

    Hi All

Well Auntie Ro was very gentle (although Bandit was not very impressed)...but she didn;t have much to deal with and what there was smelt awful and was too close to the nerves...:eek:

So Bandit going in for surgery to remove abcess tomorrow (bless her...she brought his op forward from monday masm waiting the weekend is a bit too near the wire so to speak..).....:A:A..

As for me..I chaired the Flood Forum meeting today..:cool:..some really good positive results.:T:T.... apart from being castigated by the Chair of the Parish Council .:(:(:(:mad::mad:..(no comment)

Other news...I developed a sudden rather nasty pain in the nether regions about two hours ago.....:eek:..(think the anti-inflammatory injection yesterday morning may have worn off :o)........but it has gone now as I have had the best part of une bouteille :D:D:j:j

Nunpty Hun - don;t forget your delivery tomorrow between 9 and 11am ;);)

Tomoz we (my minder and I )..are off to buy roses and other plants for the monkey garden :j:j:j

Oooh..and saw GP today - so it appears my biopsy results may take anything from a few days (quote consultant) to a few weeks (quote GP) to be received...don;t you just love it when the health professionals agree with each other :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hugs to all
