Just today - there's a national thing going on... oh, actually I just googled it - its open every Sunday afternoon in summer, for a £1 admission charge. Okay... you're right. The windmill isn't going anywhere, but man-help ..... you've sold it to me! I'll have to wait to phone him - he's seriously dozy, but will do!

What are you doing today, or can you not leave little poorly Bandit?

Looks like it's garden centre AND windmill for us on the 27th then :j:j (will windmill stil be open then?)

Today I have far too many jobs on the list to be done ......- so I'm not even going to write the list as it'll just demotivate me :o. Most important - cook roast duck tonight (half price in Sainsbury's) and feed myself up ready for the hospital stuff later this week when I can't eat for 48 hours :(

Really need to catch up on work so probably be at the computer today and then tackle the ironing mountain this evening after dinner while House is on.

In between (if the sun comes out) I might be tempted to touch up the bridge and shed with wood preserver so I can post before and after photos:cool::cool:...

Big day tomorrow - last day builders (and top totty electrician ;)) are on site - so we will be celebrating official christening of Piggie Palace, Pebble Patio, the Monkey Garden and Bandit Bridge (over Beechies Brook :rotfl::rotfl:) tomorrow evening :j:beer::D

Oooh...and I now have a water-tight house - all the front fascia has now been repaired/rotten wood replaced...... so no more rain whooshing in through the lounge window :T:T (Hopefully scaffolding will be removed tomorrow as well :D)

Wow! Thats a lot of stuff going on! And Wol, I just love the titles of the different places in the garden, thats just too funny :)

Sunday 27th - cool, as per pms - that'll be the last Sunday its open, so it might be crowded but its not exactly Las Vegas!

Enjoy the duck and the top totty - I really don't envy you a 48 hour fast, thats most definitely *not* funny.

EDIT - a waterproof house is one of those little things that we like to have, isn't it? Funny that :D

    Hi KC

Yep - unfortunately it doesn;t quite show that little Bandit actually has his front paws crossed in a very relaxed manner and is lolling around practically lying on his back (very unusual for guineas to do this). Now Charlie on the other hand would be running up your shoulder and trying to dive over the back of the sofa :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    How's you today Hun?

    xx

    Thats true or playing meerkats:rotfl:

    Hi El :hello::hello:

I am so relieved that (fingers and paws crossed) the only danger of water damage to house contents is now if the shower tray leaks or the bath overflows :rotfl::rotfl:

All pipes lagged, all tiles refixed on roof, all guttering cleaned/resealed and in perfect nick, all holes/airbricks sealed, flood doors all working (hopefully - they've not really been tested yet ) and all rotten areas of timber (including the bridge) now replaced and properly protected from rot.

.....And the new Piggie Palace is 15cm higher than the old shed so now as long as the cages are kept on their stands, there should be no danger of the piggies getting wet paws either (as well as now being weatherproofed inside their new digs :D)

Oh well, looks like the kitchen floor will have to carry on disintegrating until next year (I've heard of mosaics but this is ridiculous!:rotfl::rotfl:) as no dosh left to do any more unless the Ombudsman decides to award in my favour.

Here you go my dear - top totty replacing the bridge - just the thing for a sunday evening as the nights close in ;)
