    Me and my big mouth!!

Bandit appears to have developed an infection (no sign when he was put out in his cage last week when it all looked healed up ...:confused: )...He now has a big abcess at the site of the wound where his knadgeres are (:eek:).......and as it is mixed up with the scar tisue it's difficult for me to sort out. . His ears are hot and he's not eating properly. :(

Dosed him with antibioitics tonight, bought him in and put him on newspaper and a towel in a snuggly box.........have given him loads of cuddles and his tastiest foods....also syringe fed him with liquid food.....bathed the affected area wth salt water and then sprayed his wound with iodine :eek:......... really hope he lasts the weekend. If not, it will be sunday call out for full surgical op at vets....£160+:eek:.....and no guarantee..ulp!

I will do all I can.........Really hope he makes it.......:undecided:undecided:undecided

    Hi Numpty and KC

    Thanks for asking.......:kisses3:

Good news - Looks like he's now stable - ears are not so hot and he's eaten most of his greens. Hates the antibiotics though - real struggle to get him to open his mouth this morning :rotfl::rotfl:

Will take him to vets tomorrow - hopefully they'll just drain the area and he won;t require surgery...... but I'm not counting on it.

    Hi KC

Yep - unfortunately it doesn;t quite show that little Bandit actually has his front paws crossed in a very relaxed manner and is lolling around practically lying on his back (very unusual for guineas to do this). Now Charlie on the other hand would be running up your shoulder and trying to dive over the back of the sofa :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    How's you today Hun?

So sweet.... I'm good, actually - I managed to make a start on my horrible garage yesterday, and you can now stand up in the middle and look around. Threw out a lot of crap, sawed a few more branches overhanging the drive .... I feel like when I come to move, I won't be overwhelmed.

My choice for today is: do I phone my friend in the next road and take him up on his offer to take me to the council tip to dump some old techie stuff, or do I walk to a local windmill thats open for Heritage Open House Day? Can't do both, cos he gets up really late, and the windmill and the tip both shut early-ish.

Hee hee........In my experience, Man-help can be a tad hard to find when you need it (;))....so personally I'd take up the friend's offer while it's there and he's available- can you go to the Windmill another day or is it just today it is open?
