I'm glad everything seems to be okay .... doing things under cliffs is always a tad risky ... here on the south coast, a cliff fell on a supermarket a few years ago, it was closed for months, truly!
Z, those are *fantastic* photos! And what taste is displayed in them!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Lovely Z :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Talking of taste.. Martina McBride on Bob harris two thursdays ago......her live acoustic version that night of Over the Rainbow is probably the best rendition since Judy Garlands orginal and fair bought goose bumps out...(actually it had me in floods at the traffic lights at the sheer beauty of it)
Unfortunately I have had to download the whole session so it's about 6.5 mins in....so still trying to extract the relevant section to post....(oooh... Numpty...pretty please.......;):D)
Full session is here:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?emlnrg3nxlo
Other versions (even by her as posted on youtube) pale into insignifiance.....
xxxx
.
Tis done:D
Do you want it on a disc?PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869Numpty,Not sure why but I'm crying. Of all the peeps on this board you're the kindest & most supportive of all & I'm  &

quickie late night update:
Lovely weekend with Smashed....:j:j
Picked up a certain monkey hitching his way darn sarf:D
Ombudsman acknowledged receipt of my compalint....will be 2 months at least before another communication as they are inundated
Took 5 guineas into vets today for spaying/castrating/cyst removal .(Pebble & Muffin girlies; Charlie, Bandit and Beechie (himwotdunnit)).....
:eek::eek:.......:mad:I am NOT a happy bunny :mad::mad::mad:..my poor guineas have been butchered :mad:..pooor Charlie has an abomination on his back which was compeltely unnecessary and could have been properly stitched instead of the mess they have made :mad:
NEVER........after more than 10 previous ops for various surgical profcedures including the above "nadgering" on both males and females.......have i ever had ANY guinea go through an op and receive such untidy bodged wound healing/"stitching" from a [STRIKE]fumble fingered[/STRIKE] vet.....and resulting shoddy aftercare handover.(from a [STRIKE]dippy[/STRIKE] needs-far-more-training vet nurse......was given no aftercare presciption until I insisted on recediving antibiotics to prevent infections of wounds....(Oh perhaps they forgot ???) ....speechless :mad:
Can't say anymore......I really am distraught........ and wish now I;d insisted on a certain vet doing the ops......instead of just letting them allocate the nearest (all angles covered but not very well) vet.......Never again....my poor piggies..I have let them down......Need to find another vet now
Back later when calmed down and feeling less guilty

Oh Wol can you complain. At least get a refund of the money. Make them do the sewing again? Or would that put them through more distress than it it is worth?
That sounds truely awful, and I hope that they recover ok.
Thanks for posting on my thread. I just have to get on with things and not fume about them I guess
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Oh Wol, I'm so sorry to hear this .... poor little guineas. I hope things have gone overnight. Good for you for demanding the antibiotics. Are you going to confront the senior partner before you leave?2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
really sorry to hear about your piggies, i'd be as heartbroken as you if anything like that happened to my girls. You really do need to complain. Hope they recover soon without any infections.0

I have been gradually working my way down through the diaries today and
a) I've subscribed to a lot :eek::eek:
b) my diary is way down...naughty Wol for not posting
c) it's bloomin busy here...worse than Clapham Junction
OK quckie post now as it's late :D:cool:
Back to vets tomorrow for wound inspection on all guineas...NB I ONLY get to see the Nurse...not the vet....all has changed since they've been taken over by a big chain.....clearly no personal service any more...and so I am looking for alternative vets and will upsticks as soon as.....
Pebble guinea is absolutely fine...eating and peeing like there's no tomorrow :j:D
Muffin her mm is a bit quiet and has crusty stuff on the wound (but no sign of infection) :T
Beechie boy...no ill effects and has quitened down a bit so no worries he will take your fingers off anymore :T:T
Charlie - 10/10 for shere entertainment value.(Houdini is now his second name)..no ill effects..(although I personally have concerns about the wound on his back)..and constantly trying to escape his box :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Bandit...weird and unexpected.....he has been completely poleaxed following knadger removal......a shadow of his former self.:(.....wound not healing convincingly .....will need loads of TLC from [STRIKE]his mate [/STRIKE]Nurse Numpty
Wish me luck...off to vets tomorrow for wound inspections...apparently I only get appointment with dippy nurse........so I am going to ask to speak to Practice Manager and Vet together..tell them exactly what I think....:o.....
.........and then go find another vet....:cool::rotfl:

Well I am pleased to hear that they seem to be bearing up from their op`s.....definately complain though....vets charge enough & they have a duty of care to both animals & owners.
I agree its been very busy across all the boards this week....I can`t keep up either!!
