Blackberries, mmmm, I think MiL has some and they are away. Maybe I'll have a wander up there and pick some. I have the frozen summer fruits for my breakfast anyway but could have these tonight.
Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j

  • Yes I wondered about the marking.
    Well you asked for it:rotfl:

“Throughout the subsequent action, in the clearness of its purpose and in its sanguine energy, there is abundant assurance that ‘the black night of stars has waned’, that the gloom lit only by doubtful hopes is overpast and that the powers of light are in the ascendant.” R. C. Jebb 1867
To what extent can Jebb’s positive interpretation of Sophocles’ Electra be justified?
fine - forget I asked :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: oooooo err missus thats way beyond me - well done you for tackling such literary works. I am in awe of your intelligence! ( and I am not being cheeky!!)
Oh I nearly forgot - my lovely DF who I has been the bestest friend for 30 + years has offered to help with Mum and Dad's move next week and also lent me her boys to help in the garden on Bank Holiday Monday - I nearly cried when told me!!
This is the sort of friendship where we don't hear or speak for several months but when we do it is just like we saw each other everyday and we always have a laugh.

And we have already got 11 watchers on the sheds/greenhouse/swingseat that are listed on ebay.

Right best go and get showered as need to go shopping for food for cat and DD whilst I am away next week.
    Me
oh Me that is such good news I was reaaly worried about you trying to do all that yourself - an extra pair of willing hands will make it so much easier and then getting her boys for the garden will be such a bonus - what an absolute darling your friend is - give her a huge squishy hug.

It's the mathematicians round here that really scare me

The house next door changed hands on Friday. The previous owner had been in a home for several years. The new people are in today and it's very strange hearing noises coming through the wall, didn't realise how used I had got to not hearing anything.
Mind you I don't think they are actually moving in - the house will need upgrading first.

    • complete Mum's AA form - not looking forward to this as it has to be just right or it will be rejected as it was before.
I have also done 2 loads of washing up and wiped one lot up.
Also chased away two different cats that were having a go at Lettie - got attacked by the roses as I forced my way down the path - I have the bleeding arm to prove it!
Right must go shopping; then will load the car, have another shower and then its off to collect DS from girlfirend's and on our way to Amersham.

www.imeasure.org.uk - you put your meter readings in weekly, and your unit costs and it draws you nice little graphs.

plug-in meter - plug in... plug appliance into it, start pressing buttons - you need the one that says kwh and it'll show you how much is being used. Things to look out for are the ones that tell you there's electricity being used when you think it's off! You can work out which are your most efficient programmes on WM/DW too. Hoovering and ironing should be minimised :D

    Hello,

ask my fella again and he says the bit he doesn't understand how to work how much the appliances is costing you - is it meant to do that?
