valli I hope you are feeling better soon. Your decluttering sounds like mine!!
meandthekids Your poor exMIL I know how these things go as my mum had the same problem. It is extremely painful. Well done on talking to ex about help for DS.
froddington I am so jealous. Reading was always my favourite festival. Being old and decrepid now I just have to hear about it from others.
ffp Glad your son is okay, but what a fright. I have a DS3 who spends at least one day a month at A and E with injuries. touch wood he has been okay for few weeks now. The chiropractors he attends just ask each time what his most reent injury is.

My back is improving and although I feel I can do some flying I have been threatened with bed rest so I have made a pavlova and started planning my new rag rug instead.

    Hello all

Had a wander up the high street and a coffee and a read in starbucks, DH came up after a while and had a coffee too. I then picked up some cough stuff and a few yellow stickered items in Sainsburys ;). I've also prepped all the veg etc for the roast, chicken is in, should be on course for about 6.30pm.

Must go and put the WM on soon, though might wait 'til after dinner as I'm bound to mucky my apron!!

valli - poor you, what a nightmare, hope it eases soon! Regarding neice, might not be SF - I've had something different apparently - there's a lot of stuff around! Key thing with the SF is the temperature apparently.

I just want to say a huge thankyou to you all for helping me out, and for the list's. I do really seem to respond to lists well and this has given me the kick up the back side i needed.

I need some advice, i've not been around much latly because of being busy but also lots of stress going on atm and im taking it out on mysel which i shouldnt be doing. Its stressing me out so much that i honestly dont know where i stand or how to feel. Here is my life story pmsl....I just thought i might feel better writting it all down and if i can get some advice it would be fab.

I seperated with DD1 and DS's dad when ds was born due to domestic violence. He never hurt the children nor did he do anything in front of them so he continued to see them everyweekend fr the following two years. Despite him being a compleat waster and a total a*hole to me, the children enjoyed spending time with him. However we've had to go through court and cafcass to sort out acess time and they came to the agreement that it was joint residence, i had the children from sunday to thursday, him a long weekend. Things were going well'ish however on mothers day things came to a head and long story short he assulted me infront of the children. The poilce were involved, he was arrested and charged and solicitors and social workers became involved. They all advised we withdraw contact as DD1 was having terrible nightmares and had to have a little bit of councilling. She's 4. Anyway, we got a non molestation order(like an injunction so he cant come near us) and we moved house away from him and all his family. I am now fighting for full custody with minimal visitation. However i am really struggling with this. Jaimee loves her dad, and she is too smart for her own good. whilst she knows daddy was naughty and needs to be told off and she understands why she cannot see him she is obviously constantly asking about him, and asking if we can call him. I never ever wanted to stop them seeing there dad however much of a banker he is but now he has hurt them, yes it may be mentally but that can be worse sometimes, i dont know if i can trust him. I am in moral turmoil atm an its eating me up. Im pulling my hair out and i dont know what to do  Its having such a bad effect on me, I just feel so guilty for stoping them seeing dad and then in the next breath i think im doing the right thing.

Right, rant over. sorry about that i just had to get it off my chest.
Anyway, im going to make some twinks hobnobs and some fifteens now! x

You're never too old! You should see some of the people who go - it's a wide age range!

Firstly, huge hugs and well done for all you have achieved so far.

I know of a similar situation and the child has supervised contact with her father - the SW collects her from school and she spends time at her dad's before going back home. This might be something you could ask for. Then your children would get to spend time with their father (if they want to, of course) and you would know they have someone else there so they will be safe. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat and don't worry about ranting on here - we all support each other xx

Zoe, (don't have kids, so this might not be of use) but I think you can get supervised visits, ie some one in authority take the child to a netural place and the other parent visits but the adult in authority is there all the time.

This happened and still does for my godson, his mother was beaten up by his father, she left taking the child, but the child sees his father I 'think' once every 2 weeks for 2 hours but under full supervision of a local social worker.
