grateful - I don't think I'll get involved! What amused me was he pointed out that one of the girls spelt 'warrior' wrong whilst at the same time getting 'there' and 'their' mixed up..... pot & kettle comes to mind!!!

I am bored. I know I should get up off the sofa and do something, just feel rough today. Sorry for moaning all the time I know it's nothing up to what some people on here put up with, I just feel like it's going on forever!

I guess I'll have a shower soon and get dressed, maybe have a walk up the high street or something. And do some dusting so I can get a star or two.

Ooooh, and Asda have refunded me £10 to cover the items that were dinted etc in my order. Can't complain with their service then, but I'll probably still stick to Mr T in the future!

gratefulforhelp - I think that guy is just out for an argument. It's a shame cos these girls are just trying to make a few extra quid. I take my hat off to them as I wouldn't have the guts to do it, but he is just being a male chauvinistic pig (sorry boss!). He is probably the kind of guy that phones them and texts them anyway!!!!!

where are you me? they go to the coast to the bombing range at donor nook, they are noisy buggars, we sit having a cuppa at work and they'll do the vertical mile above our heads, its like we being hammered into the floor! :rotfl:

That would be sunny Lincolnshire Merlin!! Would you perchance be near Coningsby?

Ooh - I have been so bad and have just sat here all morning doing nothing - I think I needed a little me time.:o

    • put little hoover and dyson in the car - Mum's hoover has blown up so I will leave her my little one
    • try and find room for DS at uni - Spent all afternoon on computer looking for rooms - phone agent Tenants Direct as well.
    • [STRIKE]Pluck up courage to contact ex OH as will need him to contribute to rent for said room.[/STRIKE]
    • Write short notes to friends as feel guilty that have not been in touch for ages and ignoring texts as cannot cope with any more at the moment. - have phoned one and left a message for another.
    • complete Mum's AA form - not looking forward to this as it has to be just right or it will be rejected as it was before.
See - yet again I have done the fiddly bits and not the proper house work stuff that desperately needs doing.

I had short conversation with exOH - he tells me his mother may have bone cancer and is going to see specialist next week. She sat on edge of her bed and simply pushed down to help her get to her feet and her humerous snapped!
I did ask him for a contribution for rent for DS as I do not have the money - will take all our food budget to pay deposit as I dont think his grants will be in that quickly.

I also spent 27 minutes on hold waiting for stupid Gov .uk site people as I could not log in to upload my details in DS grant application - apparently the site has crashed and IT will not be in until Monday!!:mad:

  • morning Aunty pleased to see your tutor is working better - yes worrying if he thinks its scary how the hell will he mark it??? Ok come on spill the beans - what are you reading and whats the assignment about???
    toots xx
Yes I wondered about the marking.
    Well you asked for it

“Throughout the subsequent action, in the clearness of its purpose and in its sanguine energy, there is abundant assurance that ‘the black night of stars has waned’, that the gloom lit only by doubtful hopes is overpast and that the powers of light are in the ascendant.” R. C. Jebb 1867
To what extent can Jebb’s positive interpretation of Sophocles’ Electra be justified?
  • Oh I nearly forgot - my lovely DF who I has been the bestest friend for 30 + years has offered to help with Mum and Dad's move next week and also lent me her boys to help in the garden on Bank Holiday Monday - I nearly cried when told me!!
This is the sort of friendship where we don't hear or speak for several months but when we do it is just like we saw each other everyday and we always have a laugh.

And we have already got 11 watchers on the sheds/greenhouse/swingseat that are listed on ebay.

Right best go and get showered as need to go shopping for food for cat and DD whilst I am away next week.

having a lazy day today :) the sun is out and i fancey going blackberry picking :) so i guess im off bye

I've washed two rugs which are on the line, waved my dad off to devon and been blackberry picking with my brother. He's taken most of the blackberries, as I'm planning on walking up that way every day this week to pick then to freeze - besides which I have plums to stew today!

Greenbee - A small fig tree is £9.99 plus delivery from crocus so I think I will order one now. Should do well on the south facing stone wall on the front of the house once I have cleared a space.

Sounds perfect! You can never have too many figs!

Suppose I should bung the sofa covers in the machine and then shower and make myself respectable ready to head off for the basingstoke meet. I can't believe soappie has let me down and chosen to spend her time with a load of blokes in boiler suits instead :p
