I feel like british rail ... I'm getting there lol. Hubby texted this morning to say him and his dad had arrived and were on the way to their hotel and complaining it was really hot. What did he expect ... he's gone to sodding spain!!!!!!! But I was speaking to my MIL on the phone tonight (2 hours of yapping! just as well we get on!) and I found out he got new trainers and undies and other stuff bought for him by his mum! She asked him if I needed new trainers and he said no cos I have 5 pairs! Yeah 5 pairs that are falling apart and I'm currently wearing his old trainers that are covered in grout from when the flooring got laid! So she is going on her catalogue and is going to get me a nice pair of trainers!!! Her computer has died so I said we would take our old one down for her to have as its just taking up space in our bedroom just now. The unit is huge and I could get my college stuff in the space if we didn't have it! So it helps me and her at the same time!

If I get the course, I can apply for a disabled students allowance, and part of that is to buy a computer. So will be applying to get a laptop with an external hard drive so I can be a bit more mobile and able to work from wherever I want. It will also pay for my petrol so that I can get to college! Gonna just apply for whatever I can get - the more the merrier!!!

MIL has definitely booked the holiday for next year. Her and step FIL are paying to take all of us to turkey for a fortnight in the summer hols so that we can have a nice family holiday and they can spend some time with the wee ones. SD is coming too (well she can come if she behaves herself lol). Me and DH have never had a holiday in nearly 10 years together. Our honeymoon was a week spent at MIL's!!! How romantic does that sound!!!

Initially I was really wary about going but now am starting to really look forward to it as MIL has said that me and her will get a night out just us and hubby can go out with his step dad. Just the opportunity to chill out would be great!

Right am off to bed! Enough of washing and drying and dishes ... I need sleep!

Hi all, much better day today soooooo the Triker family managed to do......

    DW x2

    WM x 2

    Dry stuff put away

    Kitchen bin emptied

Hubby chopped down 3 trees (well two were enormous Yucca's) and did 2 trips to the dump with them.

Tried to save a birds life that Pixoid the killer cat had got hold of but sadly it passed away:(

Moved small wardrobe from DD2's room (PIGPEN DO YOU WANT IT?Its got bear's for handles) and replaced with huge wardrobe where she should be able to fit her stuff into. Also rejigged the room a bit and moved her bed.

    Binned loads of crapola.

    DD1 hoovered front room.

Bought washing up bowl and drainer for the larger pieces that need handwashing.

Then DD1 and DD2 said they'd do a car boot tomorrow if we'd drop them off, so cue mad scramble in order to get car boot stuff sorted. Cupboards rooted through, I was quite thourough.:D Car packed, packed lunch made and drinks chiling for them tomorrrow.

Hubby put loads of boxes of memento's in the loft.

I managed to get out for a bit and bought some bits and pieces for the girls.

Just so you know I mainly supervised today so I have been quite good (although I have been on my feet for quite some time and feel a little achey):o

So I'm off to bed as we'll be dropping those two off at about 9am, it's a later starting car boot.:j

Kaz have a lovely holiday and wedding, big kisses to you. xxxxxx

  • Evening everyone
at the tail end again!!! been a bit sore today as the infection is active but got the antibiotics started so hopefully fingers crossed touch wood and anything else i can think of it will get rid of the infection properly!!!

went across the road this morning to visit my mate as he had his carpel tunnel done last week - so we put the world right over a coffee!
had the cleaner this afternoon and she did the best she could to the LR to make it look reasonable for my important visitors tomorrow and she did a quick whizz round the kitchen and bathroom too.
tonight I have had phone calls and been catching up here.
iriedaughter its so good to see you and i am delighted that you have been catching up on your sleep - I hope you have not been staying up late? You got some good bargains too and it sounds like you have a brilliant plan ahead - be sure to get the planning and any other advance work done - I dont want you burning the midnight oil again!!!
    love and hugs
    toots xx

Thanks toots well done on your earlier bed time.

I have started my planning but find that I concentrate better when LOs are asleep. So today I got up at 3amish and will work to about 6am or carry on and have a siesta when DH gets in and can watch LOs. The advantage of an early start is that I have the mental clarity to do loads in a short time. The disadvantage is than any noise may wake LOs then I have to spend time settling them. I live in fear of printing stuff or using the loo. I can only do this when I am on hols as I can’t have a siesta during term time. If I am sorting junk I am better off staying up late and then sleeping. Everything else I try to get done during the day while watching the LOs. Its getting easier as DD gets older although this weak she is a bit clingy. Could be teething but most likely she may be feeling miserable due the chicken pox vaccine she had on tue.

I am getting on top of the laundry. I have two loads to hang out in the morning and LOs can play in the garden while I do that. I have a white wash to do and get it out if it’s sunny later. I have loads still to put away in the airing cupboard but it’s mostly all folded already. Then I have the ironing to do but that will be next week and I have to iron on tags for DS uniform.
The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.

Morning everyone. Up with the lark for some obscure reason. Looks like we're going to have fine weather again. I shall have to find something to wash I'd hate to waste the opportunity - and the washing basket's empty...

    Morning All

Sunny here at the moment - washing on the line and WM on. We're going over to see my Grandparents this morning so don't know how much I'll get done before we go.

Hope everyone has a good day

I'm off to make a start

    Hi all,
went to see NOF for part of the afternoon -little outings take far more out of me than I think it will - so having a quiet evening - there is the makings of a noisy party through the wall so i might have a very early night if it gtes too bad and hope the bedroom is quieter.
    Morning toots
Hope you managed to get a good night's sleep.
Please try not to overdo it.

Assignment progress report - I emailed my tutor with my assignment topic on Friday (not expecting a quick response - this is the guy who takes four weeks to return an assignment) Got a reply back yesterday.

"Sounds (i) fine to me; (ii) scary - wow! if you are reading heavy stuff like that, I take my hat off to you"

Which is (i) good news (ii) slightly worrying - what have I missed that is going to cause me problems? I thought my choice was a reasonable one.

Oh well, off to find some tea and toast and try and make a plan for the day.

Off to watch some flying today at Shoreham Airshow - have smothered myself in suncream and my Dad is coming to pick us up at about 9 - off to find breakfast and make sure we've got some bottles of drink with us.

If I don't see you tonight (dinner at M&D's on the way back) I'll see you all on the new thread.

    Hope everyone is well.
