I've been back to the Drs today as I'm feeling really bad on the medication. He has taken me off them and given me some beta blockers but I'm not sure I want to take them either!!!
He wants me to seriously consider HRT but am really scared of taking that.I think maybe the best thing is to suffer the symptoms..I really don't know!!!!
I have reactions to most medicines anyway..why is everything so hard?[/QUOTE)

Sorry to hear your not feeling any better taxi ... This is a bit of q long shot and shouldn't be undertaken without speaking to the dr first ... But have you thought about maybe dietry changes ? For instance five cashew nuts have the equivilent serotonin hormone as one Prozac ... Also avavados are amazing hormone balancers .... There are loads of different foods that whilst may not cure ( I am not saying they are the be all and end all) may help with some of the symptoms ... Also meditation is fantastic for stress relief ... For depression the best thing is sleep ... It has to be the right kind of sleep ( it's called recuperative) though .... I know that is easier said than done though ... There is plenty of goodadvice out there .... Am thinking if u

NO I haven't had those before so haven't had any side effects before.
I guess it may be worth giving them a try.

The most common side-effect that I've heard of is cold feet. Wear socks...

They do seem a lot better than antidepressants as far as side-effects go.

Thanks all...I have stopped taking the anti ds and feel a lot more awake.
Funny you should say that about your OH Penguin since giving up smoking as that's when mine started.
I totally agree that dietary changes would be better and this is what I will look into Elantan.
Turfy and ISOM...I will get better ...I don't have any cheap hobbies and I don't feel stressed as in upset sort of way...I feel nervy IYSWIM but I have no reason to feel that way!!!
ZTD..the side effects for beta blockers look better than for citalopram anti ds...but I'm going to hold off for now if I can.
My body doesn't tolerate chemicals very well and if things are going to give me side effects I may as well try and tolerate the symptoms.

Not a lot to report anyaway.Got my CC from Santander today credit limit £500...LOL..so no use to me so will cancel it.
Got a letter from the courts saying that I'd been awarded £17 comp and a form for my bank details..filled it in went to the fines office to hand it in and the girl on the desk reckons that according to her computer the lad was ordered to pay and had no means to so spent a day in jail..what the !!!! is that about!!!!!
THey were meant to phone me after lunch to let me know what was happening.
Need to update sig as loans etc came out the other day and I haven't done it yet!!!
If I feel ok I'll go to work on Saturday for a few hours.

Glad ur feeling better, def sounds like it could be the tabs, give u a laugh, my gp last week, didn't want to change my tabs, pretty much on everything, and touch wood functioning on the doses I'm on, theres one more he can add, but thats last resort, so his idea was to take an extra tablet at dinnertime - a sedative- doing that gd of a job by 3pm I'm crawling into bed, (thou have fallen asleep in the chair) I'm out solid, wake up bout 6pm (set the alarm), I know he wants me to rest my back, but not ideal when I've got an assisgnment due next week, and an exam on 20th.... don't think they'd be best plzed if I fell asleep at the exam table........ thye've already arranged for me to have a comfy chair, and I'm taking a cushion, should go in pjs and borrow one of dds teddys, complete the job! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
