The dreaded smear, I have been brave and booked mine, go either this thurs or next thurs, will need to check, the lady on reception made me laugh, she apologised she couldn't get me in any earlier, when I said, don't worry I'm already a year late, she didn't know what to say! x

I was diagnosed as pre cancer stage two years ago ... Would never miss a smear ever again ... It was a nightmare time for me and still to this day if I even suspect anything is wrong I am straight up to the drs and demanding attention ... I don't care if it makes me a bad patient I would rather be that than go through what I did or worse

Hope it got sorted ok, I had the pre-cancer cells back in 2000, but am still on yearly recalls, its so stupid I panic over everything else being wrong bar that area!

The best (I can laugh now), I found a lump in my boob, went off in a right panic, emergency app at doctors, he checked it, poked at it, it turned out to be a cyst, but it bust all over him, all manky, his face was a picture. xx

yuk - bursting cyst - hope it turned out to be ok.

Haven't had a letter about a mammogram yet but keep expecting one as I'm 51 next week  and thought you started having them 50.

This is my first I was 50 in February I am pleased to be going because my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammogram earlier this year and will complete her final (hopefully) course of treatment next week. My Mom has also had breast and ovarian cancer so there is a risk that it may be genetic.

With regard to when they will call you this is a quote from the booklet "We invite women aged between 50 and 70 every three years, which is the recommended interval. You will not necessarily get your invitation in the year that you turn 50. As long as you are registered with a doctor, we will invite you for breast screening before your 53rd birthday".

This is in Wales but I assume it works the same all over.

Hi all..not a lot to say really.Need to update my sig later as stuff has come out of the bank the last few days.
The lad that did a runner owing me £17 fare is in court this morning apparently.I just received a phone call from the police.
I've received a pin number for a Santander CC this morning..don't know what the limit is or if it's any use ..had given up on that as it's weeks and weeks ago that I sent the paperwork back.
Need to nip and get the dog food today so that will be £41.50.
I haven't done any PADs for a few days as we lost loads of money last week while the cab was off the road and also I haven't been back to work since.
I'm hoping that these tablets settle down and that I get more energy so that I can drive.
