A nice cool day will do me fine as it's the heat and low blood pressure that makes me feel faint but am improving day by day.

    Hi

Not been around for a few days so just been catching up.

Taxi - you feel as though you are cheating by becoming debt free through insurance payout - I'm pretty sure the insurance would not feel as if they had 'cheated' you if you hadn't had the mis-fortune of needing to claim and they carried on taking your cash. Make the most of it and take whatever advantages you can to help you through this time.

My dd has been home this weekend and is so much better than when she came home last - much more like her old self. Her hair is beginning to grow back now too. She went away with her OH a few weeks after her op to a new hotel in Cornwall - opened last year. It is called Scarlet and is right on the coast in a place called Morgan Porth between Newquay and Padstow - food is all organic and there is a range of activities and therapies to partake of or not. When we were in Cornwall in the caravan we called in for a coffee there - the views and hotel looked fantastic. DD got her deal there through t'internet at a much cheaper rate than advertised. Depends what sort of hol you want when you are ready - but I WANT to stay there and be pampered instead of staying in me trusty old caravan LOL - one day when I'm debt free......................dream, dream, dream...... in the meantime I'll have to call in for a coffee next time I'm in th'caravan. Look it up on the website.

The eating plan sounds good. Glad you have the manuka honey in there.

Had a busy weekend with a few mixed emotions thrown in for good measure - dd came home as I've said and had MIL and SIL over yesterday - did loads of cooking so set for the week with leftovers - went to Leeds today with dh, dd and ds to my great nephews christening - it was lovely - but I am the only one from my generation who was there - at 51, I feel too young for that LOL - the rest have either popped their clogs or are too ill to venture out - a funny feeling really. But I had a great big snuggle to baby as he nestled in as babies do then he nodded off. I did enjoy my weekend - just a jumble of emotions. Dd has gone home now and we will go and visit her in summer hols.

Take it easy with the walking - build up to your 30 minutes with a couple of 10 minute ones and increase it as and when you feel able - just don't do what I did :):):) - I'd had virtually a year off work (barring a 6 week period between ops) - I had 10 days left on my sick note - had walked into town, around town and was nearly home - really pleased I'd built my walking to over an hour ---- then twisted over and broke my foot - I can giggle now about it but at the time nearly lost me my job and my sanity!!!!!!!!!! I had an extra 4 weeks off ontop of my original sicknote - seemed like 4 years.

Enjoy this cooler but still beautiful weather - do what you can when you can - if you feel like a sleep have one, same with going out and about. Don't dare feel guilty about taking the money from insurance - feel excited about the figures saying a BIG FAT ZERO.
