A holiday is definitely on the agenda for the first bonus I get after I become debt free too! Very much needed for me and the children.
May even see you at the bar :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I've always gone abroad and will again...but travel insurance will be very expensive.
So it's about time we stayed in this country...don't have a clue about anywhere in this country though...so will take us ages to decide where...lol0 -
And much deserved your holiday will be Hypno...0

Look on Trip Advisor Taxi. Pick an area and they will show you all the hotels etc and what people thought of them.
When we went on honeymoon, we decided to live it up for 5 days rather than a cheap two weeks. I went onto that site and picked the No 1 hotel in Barcelona, it did not disappoint! (all on the credit card of course in the bad ole days)LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
(CC/LOAN = [STRIKE]36,378.98[/STRIKE] 35668.47. O/D = [STRIKE]1255.32[/STRIKE] 1212.35/[STRIKE]1999.78[/STRIKE] 1934.52, BUS = [STRIKE]9769.76[/STRIKE] 8714.98)
Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84
There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Great news about the money Taxi. I think it's a good idea to save some for a rainy day cushion.
I was at the school Summer Fair today and my Mum came, she knows everyone so it wasn't surprising when she started chatting to an old lady manning a stall.
Apparently, this lady helped deliver me (I'm 40 next month) and was as sprightly as anything. EDIT: she's nearly 80!
Afterwards, my Mum was saying what a lovely woman she was and that 37 years ago she had breast cancer. Mum said she had said at the time (full of Yorkshire grit) "I'm going to beat this - cos it's not going to beat me!" I made a mental note to tell you, as you have the same attitude.
Sometimes it's not so bad to re-evaluate life because it IS precious, I know you'd prefer not to be DF in these circumstances, but oddly enough, this could be the start of a new and exciting chapter.
I defo agree with RMC to take it easy and plan yourself a nice break. There are so many lovely places in this country - once you start looking - you'll be spoilt for choice!
Hope you're having a nice weekend. x0 -

Brilliant news about the money taxi, and great planning. A break in England sounds wonderful, hopefully once you have met the oncologist and know the plan of attack, you will be well placed to start planning it! enjoy XX LiloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110
