    Thanks all...

Went to hospital and I am healing very nicely...consultant doesn't want the seroma drained as it should disperse itself. He doesn't have the hormone results yet and I have no need to see him again until the oncologist has finished with me.He was saying that I'm borderline for being offered chemo and if I was offered it it would also be a good idea to have itand then just as he was leaving the room he said that I should lose some weight...lol...he said it nicely though..lol...

My BCN came in then and we discussed wigs, chemo, complimentary therapies and the feel good look good days.

I have complimentary therapy next week.

When I see my oncologist and if he says I need chemo...I then go and pick my wig and then on the 1st chemo appointment they will give me a voucher that entitles me to the wig..

Whilst on that unit I can ask about the feel good /make up days and there may be a waiting list which I can put my name on.

So am just waiting for appointment from oncologist now for next part of treatment...BCN is coming to the appointment with me...so she'll understand everything going on.

Drove the car to the hospital but BCN said I'm not allowed to drive until at least end of next week and even so will have to phone upmy insurer to check what their conditions are regarding driving after surgery.

DD and I had breakfast out...which was nice and we went to the bank.

Had to have a sleep when I got in as was exhausted due to having had to park on the furthest part of the hospital and the long walk from the car park to the out patients dept and of course back again.

Glad it went well Taxi, you sound very positive which is good.

It's not surprising that you feel so tired, you've been through alot, so it must have taken alot out of you. Once you come out the other side of your treatment, there will be plenty of time to lose weight. You've already made a great start towards healthy eating, so you will lose weight with ease.

Patience must be the hardest thing to achieve at the moment, but you are getting there :)

    Will check that out beanie....
Macgirl....won't do me any harm to start as I'm 9 stoneish over weight and some of the other drugs can help me gain weight.I'm not going to follow WWs or anything like that or be too hard on myself.
Think I need an overhaul of my whole life re getting/staying healthy.
So here is the plan(from tomorrow)...am writing as I'm thinking here...lol

    (1) Stop smoking
    (2) Drink more water
    (3) Switch to de- caffenated tea and herbal teas.
    (4) Try to walk 30 mins per day...
    (5) Eat 3 small meals a day
    (6) Eat 2 healthy snacks a day
    (7) take 1tsp Manuka honey per day.
    (8) No sweets/chocolates/crisps

can't think of anything else at the moment but if I do I will add to it..
Think this may work as I can't see the calories being too high if I make my meals smaller..I can work out the points I should eat and work out the points in what I'm eating so that they fall in line with WWs points I guess.

Sounds like a healthy plan. It may be that due to the cancer and your weight that you can get some assistance in a plan from a specialist at the hospital.

I know that our region has specialist advisers for diet etc, and they will be able to talk to your specialists about what is and isnt recommended.

I am sorry that you had a down day, pick another date and have a "2nd" anniversary - if 2 bdays is good enough for the queen then 2 anniversaries is good enough for our Taxi!

Thanks Pippajo....they may have something like that I guess..I will ask when I next see them.

I was thinking of doing something for our anniversary when I and DH feel up to it...don't know what yet....we have a lot of stuff coming up to do with the car which will occupy a few of his days off this month.
