Sounds like a good plan too! We all know what to do to lose weight, it's just the doing it that's hard

My friend's Mum had to lose a lot weight for a knee op - she was a size 24, and has so far lost 5 stone, with more to go. She found it hard as she couldn't walk to exercise, but is getting there.

If you can do all on your list, you will start to feel fantastic really soon, then the "evils" of white refined foods, flour and sugar will not be so appealling.

I'd recommend Green tea too, it's an acquired taste but full of antioxidants so well worth it :)

Also, if you fancy some chocolate, have the 70% cocoa stuff, not that Cadbury's pooh! ;)

Nice to see that things are chugging along. It's only right to feel tired, so sleep when that happens and keep on with the rest in the meantime as you seem to have got the right idea.

    Good stuff, Taxi! :D

Macgirl....won't do me any harm to start as I'm 9 stoneish over weight and some of the other drugs can help me gain weight.I'm not going to follow WWs or anything like that or be too hard on myself.
Think I need an overhaul of my whole life re getting/staying healthy.
So here is the plan(from tomorrow)...am writing as I'm thinking here...lol

    (1) Stop smoking
    (2) Drink more water
    (3) Switch to de- caffenated tea and herbal teas.
    (4) Try to walk 30 mins per day...
    (5) Eat 3 small meals a day
    (6) Eat 2 healthy snacks a day
    (7) take 1tsp Manuka honey per day.
    (8) No sweets/chocolates/crisps

can't think of anything else at the moment but if I do I will add to it..
Think this may work as I can't see the calories being too high if I make my meals smaller..I can work out the points I should eat and work out the points in what I'm eating so that they fall in line with WWs points I guess.

Sounds like a good plan , Taxi:D . When I am being good and organised I try to follow a mediterranean style diet . Lots of fish, veg, salad , olives etc etc . Its my absolutely favourite way to eat and when I eat like that for a few weeks everything improves, hair, skin , mood ... so definetly worth it.

    You are doing brilliantly ,hun;)

    love

Taxi, I like that plan, it sounds great. But ... you knew there'd be a "but", didn't you :D if the walk from the edge of the car park and back tires you, there's no way you can do 30 mins walking each day. Have that as a goal, by all means, but not straight into it.

I'm glad the BCN gave you info on being *allowed* to drive - I didn't realise that your insurance wouldn't even cover you, yikes.

And the other thing I notice on your plan, which I think is really important, is to stop the bad stuff (cakes and wotnot) while you're increasing the uptake of the good stuff - if you do the good while still eating the bad, the good doesn't really have the effect it could have. Says she, wot done it for ages before she realised :o good for you.

After all that - I hope the day is still nice for you, and your palate reaccustoms itself to good food sharpish!

    Thanks...

Sorry meant to put build up slowly to 30 mins...lol...the bad is def going as that is the reason I put on weight.....that and the portion sizes and lack of exercise....so baby steps it will have to be.

Have just been to the gym to see DD as she said they were doing an organic thing...it was riversford veg...they are dearer than the supermarket ...lol

Had a letter from insurance stating how much they are paying and that they will be refunding the last two premiums that I've paid since I put the claim in and have paid interest on the money since the day of the claim.

So hopefully it will be in the bank ib the next few days as it said 5 working days from the date on letter(ist july)....and then I can be debt free.

We were on the same page about the exercise then, thats good.

Amazing that the insurance money will be in the bank in the next few days. How strange.... not the way you wanted to be df, of course, but its coming - and I'm *sure* it will be a weight off your shoulders. Building up savings can go slightly more slowly, hopefully, giving you and dh more time to spend together in a positive way.
