Taxi IT IS NOT CHEATING
You have had the most awful experience, one that is certainly not worth being debt free for, that, my friend, is a teeny tiny bonus!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
(CC/LOAN = [STRIKE]36,378.98[/STRIKE] 35668.47. O/D = [STRIKE]1255.32[/STRIKE] 1212.35/[STRIKE]1999.78[/STRIKE] 1934.52, BUS = [STRIKE]9769.76[/STRIKE] 8714.98)
Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84
There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

I'm with you, Reddie! :T
It's not cheating, Taxi - it's just a silver lining to a pretty awful cloud. Look upon is yin and yang: a good thing to balance out a bad thing. (Well, OK, it's not quite enough, but hey, you've got to go with what you are given.)

I'm just so glad that I took the insurance out...it was originally a norwich union plan which was took over by Aviva so at least we know they pay out.
I now need to arrange insurance for my husband as it was a joint policy and pays out on the 1st event....which I'm the 1st event...
So I need to have a good hunt around for decent insurance now.0 -

I'm so glad to hear your DD is fine.
Good to hear the insurance is paying out, okay the circumstances suck, but you're coming to come out the other side with so much less stressNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

Exactly right, Pickle (can I call you Pickle?)! I do know what you mean though, Taxi - I never missed a payment until the juice finally ran out. My debts are all £1 a month now and, therefore, still lurking in the background and that's where they'll stay for a while yet! Given the choice, there aren't many who would swap positions with you!!! You've paid your premiums to get rid of the money stress - now enjoy making plans!!!
