Strewth! What a day. You must be so proud of your daughter - how selfless to be caring for you when under such a burden, Good Woman!:D
You must be exhausted. I'm glad you were able to release some of the stress through tears. Go gently.
My friend is two weeks behind you Taxi, she has her op for BC on Thursday. She's 43 years old which I think is quite young to get BC. I was thinking of suggesting she look at your thread as I have it in mind that you're under 50, but I'm not sureMight suggest it anyway, so THANK YOU :A for sharing your journey, it helps me to understand and I hope it might help my friend

Thanks all...a very emotional day indeed and am still trying to come down from it.
Will ring up the car people tomorrow for a settlement figure ready for payment when the money comes in.
I will go to the bank for the settlement figures on the other 2 loans.
The 2 credit cards will be paid online.
Then I'll only have the mortgage to pay and household bills.
My £196.60 loan came out today but I can't find the calculator to update my figures.0 -
Good idea Hiphouse and you are right as I'm 46..lol0

Taxi~New loan figure is 2752.5

Sheesh what a day!! You really are being tested for your strengths at the moment, and you are passing with flying colours!
Great that money will become much less of a worry for you both x
I am sure your monthly outgoings will now seem like small fry considering the amounts you have been having to find over the past few years.0 -
It sure will as min payments are over £900 p/m and I also pay extra on top of that most months.
Once I've paid those off there'll be a big chunk left in the bank for emergencies.
DH says he wants to work the extra hours still to build up a big pot...so that we can pay the mortgage off early.0 -
He's a star, I can understand him wanting to do that but also the pressure will be off so if he wants to give the extra hours a break he can without pressure so a nice feeling I am sure. And while DH works you can concentrate on getting well without having to worry about money, its the very least you deserve x0
