Your food today sound lovely. Keep listening to your body, take a slow walk around your garden if you find an need to get out. Last year I had an operation and for about I week after I spent in bed, it would take about 10-15mins to lift myself out of bed it hurt so much. I found my son Ipod was fab, I would lie in bed or be in a chair eyes closed listening to it, more often I would fall asleep.
    Fingers crossed about insurance.

I belive that dark chocolate have more iron than milk choolate.
I did get a veg & fruit box delivered every week, not cheap, but I did enjoy trying to work out what to eat all week, it made me think about food a bit more.

The food sounds great Taxi - and it doesn't sound too much, honestly, because there's so much fruit and veg in it. Those quantities of concentrated carbohydrates with fatty/sugary sauces really would have you putting on weight, because they'd be largely "empty" calories - but what you're doing is brilliant.

    Hope you slept well.

    Thanks all....

Slept ok..thanks...my boob however was very heavy and strange feeling and quite painful but feels better since I put my bra on.

Nothing planned for today...am thinking about a walk to the bank or maybe just send DD instead as it's very warm here already.

Hoping for news on both insurance and results later today...

Have a good day everyone x

I suppose your boob has had an "insult", I think they call it. If its hurting now, then hopefully thats because its on the mend, like when a scab itches? And I don't know how much muscle was cut into, if at all, but I'm guessing that the support of a bra is needed now more than ever.

I don't know how far your bank is, Taxi, but I'm thinking just enough walking to avoid DVT, and thats that. Which you can do by ordinary walking around the house. Stay out of the sun, keep your blood sugar level. The Karmacat hath spoken! :kisses3:

I have decided to send DD out to do the jobs and am staying in again....just tottering about the house.

As she needs to go to the bank, nip and get bread (I'll be making my own soon),and then nip to home bargains so too much for me.

    Ahh just lost my post....

BCN phoned earlier with some results...so here goes!!!

    I have INVASIVE DUCTAL CANCER
    GRADE 3---20MM

    Positive news....
They managed to get clear margins
    and
    both Sentinel Nodes were clear

I will be seeing the oncologist in 4-6 weeks to discuss my treatment plan ...which is definitely radiotherapy and most likely chemotherapy due to the high grading...probably followed by tablets(dependant on hormone results)

We don't have the hormone test results yet...they will take another week or so....if it is hormone positive...I'll probably have a course of Herceptin...if they are negative then there isn't as much about so hoping for positive...

So a long road ahead but I'll go along it positively...life is too short to be miserable.

So I have about a month to become as healthy as possible before the next round of treatment.

Phoned the insurance earlier and the CMO had showed up and apparently I'll get a call monday letting me know whats happening...so here's hoping or else we'll have to wait for the histology report....BCN has said the insurance haven't even asked for one yet...
