Neighbour using my parking space

The only bit of advice you have given on this thread is to contact a housing association?!
All other posts you have made are just argumentative comments with other posters.
.
.. and that was excellent advice, if I say so myself.;)
The only person that I have been " argumentative " with is you, simply because you cannot accept the facts laid before you..
You on the other hand havn't given any constructive help at all.0 -

I said post #63 "I know the rules about parking on public roads etc, but it is still the same sort of scenario as mentioned."
I have not rejected any facts, I have simply said they are not relevant to what I had written.
If I had said that my scenario was exactly the same and that I had a right to stop somebody parking outside my house, then you would be correct. Thing is though, I never said that. You are just bringing irrelevant things into the thread for arguments sake.
Also where is the rule saying that I have no right to not ask anybody not to park outside my house? I have never seen any law or otherwise stating that I cannot go and politely ask a neighbour not to park outside my house.
My constructive help is to talk to the person first before doing anything too drastic.0 -

Would it be legal to clamp somebody else's car without having all the clamping signs up etc?
Would it be legal to tow somebody else's car without their permission?
Post #5 was not very constructive either.0 -

I was obviously referring to the " go speak to them nicely " part of the post...

Inactive doesn't make a habit of trying to argue - but he was right and we all 'get him' whereas it appears you still slighly miss the point (tick, tock, tick tock).....
Well said, never-in-doubt.
Liam - inactive is merely trying to get you to accept that, in this case, you are wrong in your thinking.
Trust me, if you were right, you'd have people backing you up. The deafening silence here speaks volumes. Seriously.

maybe dragging up an old post here but I had the same problem despite our spaces being numbered. I only have one space, and coming home from work at 3am to have to park up and walk down a dark road started getting annoying. I put letters on the offending cars explaining private parking space and asking them to move. That worked for one of them. Then I started getting cars (different ones) parking behind me and blocking me in. The final straw came when I was late meeting my Dad and he asked why, I told him my car was blocked in. Moments later, one angry Dad appears. Car was removed and hasn't done it since ;-)
However some others carried on parking in the space. I made sure I had put at least 3 letters on, then I blocked them in, went inside and took the intercom off the hook for an hour. Cue one car owner going "well I didn't know it was your space!" I asked him if he lived there, he said no, and I directed him to the visitors car park. I've heard all the excuses in the book from some of these people but finally - 2 years later, I have a parking space free! The police can't do anything as the space is private property, but they did tell me if I was blocked in they could as the car that was blocking me in was on a public highway. They also said they could act as a go between and mediate. TBH, my Dad did a pretty good job of "mediating" :-)0
