Wow, that's quite a list
Take care of yourself whilst you're not feeling too well - your health needs to be a priority. Good luck with the list - bit don't beat yourself up about it if you don't manage to get it all doneSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
aaah, but you see I was cunning - the knitting is a treat, not a chore ;-). And it's for tomorrow as well, of course I forgot to add to the list 'whoop guitar hero's butt' on the Wii so that I will feel no guilt in buying Guitar Hero 5 the day it comes out (hence the finding other games to trade in :rotfl:) -- ooh, I'm sad little geek at times!!
Now back from shopping. I went to Roys of Wroxham, which no-one not from round here will be familiar with, but it's kind of a very odd institution in these parts! If you go into Wroxham, you'll see that Roy's basically owns the whole of it! But I love their food shop; cheap compared with tescos and the like, excellent quality local fruit, veg and meat. Only downside is that sometimes they don't have stuff because it's locally sourced in the most part, and you can't get some things, and things like pulses can be ridiculously expensive because they only do tiny packets. For instance, I couldn't get couscous in bulk, they don't sell haricot beans, or cashews, and I didn't buy brown rice because they only had a weeny little bag for shocking amount of money! So these things I will have to get at Waitrose or Tescos (probably the former because although it's more expensive I don't have to drive there because it's walking distance from work, and they always have things like the above. Have to say though, I do miss my ready access to Asian shops in Nottingham! These days going to Asian shops is a rarity because I don't often get into the city centre when they are open!
Feel a lot lot better, migraine definitely no only a headache and going rapidly! Also remembered to buy more meds as I used them up yesterday, and usually I forget until the next time I have one...
Right off to find out from the OS style board where to get soya mince more cheaply!0 -

Just thought I'd pop in and see how you were doing really sorry bout the migraine and I do exactly the same thing re meds! nothing worse then standing in Boots in agony waiting to get the painkillers!

Well done on what you've done so far :A
I am still in my pyjamas - and have done nothing so far todaySometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
well, I actually didn't get too much done today off my list - Shoe Gal you were right, bit off more than I could chew, was feeling really drained again by 3 - thankfully migraine hasn't come back though! I took a break from the book sort when my laptop battery died and got on with the knitting and had to have a lie down lol!
However, before that I got about five things listed on Amazon, and bizarrely, I've just checked my email and two of those things have already sold, and one has made £8! I've also sold another thing that's been on ages, with £6 made. Means I have made £20 over last couple of days! Pretty good going! I always forget my postage has to come out of that, but still, nice to get money from clutter clearing!0 -
:j:j well done you :A

it's always good to do absolutely !!!!!! all at weekends though - that is normally me unless I make a to-do list! I think I may have been a sloth in a previous life!
I have realised today that natwest cut down the graduate overdraft gradually, and I need to get it under £1500 asap before I start getting charged. That means I have to find about £280, as well as clearing the £75 I want to clear off my CC in September. I haven't heard from Natwest about it yet, but I'd like to get it in hand before I do. I have signed up to the £10 a day challenge at £5 a day - £3 more than I said I was going to do, which will go someway towards this!
Still feeling pretty knackered today, but to be expected as I had to take syndol last night as head was coming back. Unfortunately migraine meds don't work on me; my migraines are the direct result of whiplash from a car accident a few years ago. Still I used to get them every 4 weeks or so and they'd last 4 days a time. Now I have one every couple of months or so, and a marked decrease since I moved back to East Anglia - obviously a lot less stressed down here!
Right going to sit quietly, knit, list some books, and get started on Doo yoo.0 -
Good to see the Amazon sales - see, this moneymaking lark is quite easy once you get into it!! You will soon have enough to get the grad o/d with a bit of effort!
Sorry you are still feeling pants - my DS has migraine, complete with vomit and the works, so if he ever says "I have a headache coming" we know to take it seriously! Best one was at school (I have told them they need to take it seriously), where he said in maths that he had a migraine coming, only to be told by his teacher to sit still and be quiet, and get on with his work. DS then said "but I'll be sick", to be told by his teacher to wait until the end of the lesson!
needless to say, DS threw up in the classroom - that'll teach them not to take any notice of the letters I write!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi
 to the overdraft - but it sounds like you have a plan
l must try to get some stuff done today, back to work tomorrow :eek:Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
oh Hypno, that's awful, your poor son! I'm guessing the vomit would have done the trick though, so hopefully it won't happen again! Thankfully I don't usually get the nausea, just the headache and light sensitivity, have only been sick with one twice since I've been having them. Sometimes the codiene in my painkillers can make me feel very ill though - sometimes you wonder which is worse! I used to have much stronger ones on prescription but I was worried about getting addicted to them, so I stopped taking them.
OK, I haven't done what I said I was going to do - since my last post all I've done is switch locations from bed to sofa, make chocolate porridge (yum!), and browsed the forums!0
