ooh, lost my own diary then! oh dear! :rotfl:

Well, this week has definitely not been that money saving; gone over budget on my food by about £15 all together this month, and I know why - cos I haven't meal planned at all, which has made lunches difficult as well as the evening meal. I have now budgeted for next week, so just need to get the shop out of the way. and the cooking I daresay!

My mum gave me £40 in cash for my birthday, so I have taken this along with £20 deposited by Amazon, and paid it into my natwest credit card. I actually emptied out my other natwest savings accounts and paid this into the CC, as I decided there was no good reason to use them, and as that money wouldn't be missed, I paid that to the CC as well, meaning I have paid a total of £185 to the CC in the last two weeks :-). Balance therefore stands at around about £275!:T

I have amended my home budget to only include my actual earnings and not any extra earnings or gifts, and also trimmed a few things down. This means I have to make sure I stay in my budget, but the idea is that any extra that I make can be chucked at the debts rather than being used for general living.

Based on the amount I've made each day since I started at the middle of August (Thanks to Hypno06's pep posts! :D) I'm going to aim to make £2 a day in September. I will only count money actually to be paid into my account - therefore amazon sales can be counted, but daily clicks / scratches / cashback etc can't unless I can physically deposit that money or get it by paypal (and I'm guessing September will be too soon for that except maybe the scratches).

This will hopefully mean I can pay £75 to the credit card; including the £15 I budget for! Any money not used from the budget I will also chuck at it.

    Hi

That sounds like a really good plan. I am planning a 'sensible September' to get back on track after a busy August :D

    Good luck

Defnitely an excellent plan! I am the same regarding the challenge - I only count the money when it is actually in my sticky little mitts, rather than when I "earn" it, just in case!

exactly, that's half the reason I've removed my extras earning; I don't want to have to rely on it, and my budget is doable without it, and that way I can pay all extras to the debt!

Oh, today at work I did not knit (unlike yesterday!) but I did read some of Heidi! Oh dear! I also read MSE at lunch ;-)

ugh, I feel rough as this morning - got woken up in the night by my smoke alarm going off. Naturally I panicked, got up straight away, by which time it had stopped, to find - no fire, no smoke, no anything. Checked everywhere to be sure, and see if I could work out what set it off, nothing, got back into bed, hadn't even turned the light off when it went off again! Still no sign of anything. Went outside to see if there was any sign of anything, nope (it was however !!!!ing down!). It's mains powered so I can't even take the battery out, but no idea why it was going off - it's literally never gone off before, even with cooking! I'll have to try and see if there is dust in it or something. Obviously it's nice to know it will wake me up immediately, but I'd rather it stuck to when there is a fire!

I'm supposed to be going to a wedding today, but I'm so tired and now have a migraine, and have to drive three hours to get there,. All I want to do is sleep...

Sorry you have had a bad night.....I hope you get to the bottom of the smoke alarm puzzle soon!

I have a funeral to go to today, in town, so I will swap you - you go to the funeral for me.......only 15 mins drive, and I will do the 3 hours to the wedding instead

I've only got your best interests at heart!!

I hope you feel better soon.

aah, sorry you've a funeral to go to :( never nice.

I feel terrible and would need to leave in an hour to get there. It's not a particularly close friend of mine, more an acquaintance, who i haven't seen in a couple of years but I feel bad as I rsvp'd, and obviously not going to rekindle the friendship if I don't go! Plus I was going to meet other friends who at the moment I only know online (it was someone I met on an internet forum for a musician years ago, but we met IRL and became quite good friends, but lost touch when she stopped using the internet, and I got wrapped up in my degree). But at this moment I need to find the energy to walk to the shop which is escaping me, and know I can't drive safely :(

The slight silver lining is the money saving from not using the petrol to drive there and back I suppose?Ugh, maybe I'll feel better in an hour!

From what you say, I think a day at home is just what you need right now.

Go and have a lay down in a darkened room.

no unfortunately not Shoe Gal - was in bed the whole day. Feel really guilty but couldn't be helped. Wasn't sure of the etiquette of such a late cancellation, so emailed my friend who was also going (not the bride lol) to let her know - hope she could check email from her phone. Would have texted, but I don't get a mobile signal here at all :/

Do feel a lot better for it this morning, have to say! Still have the migraine, but it's lessening, and at least I'm not feeling completely drained and can lift my head up! Going to get food in a mo, but wanted to post my to do list!

    Do daily clicks
    [STRIKE]Look at Dooyoo - post at least 10 reviews[/STRIKE] only 5 done - didn't realise there was a five a day limit!
CDs - reorganise what I'm keeping, separate out what is to be Amazon'd, Ebay'd and Music Magpie'd. Anything not suitable for those to be put in charity shop box
Books - as above minus Music Magpie! one box ready for charity, a few books listed on amazon, two boxes left to sort.
    DVDs - as above
Look at Games - make pile to trade in etc.
[STRIKE]Deal with yet another bloomin' spider currently under cup (no comment!)[/STRIKE]done! However, I suspect this will be on the list again before the weekend's out!
    [STRIKE]1 load of laundry[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]food shop[/STRIKE]done! A couple of things I couldn't get, but those come to under a fiver, total amount spent just over £40 for two weeks worth of menu planning (which I'm very much hoping will stretch into three weeks without too much trouble!) Bought soya mince to bulk out mince, but seems v expensive, will have to find a cheaper source! (£1.79 for 300g?). Also bought the hairdye from last weeks list - slightly different colour this time, hope it works!
6 rows of cardigan 2 3 rows done
20 rows of cardigan 1 (much easier lol) 1=10 rows done
finish Harry Potter sock (not harry potter in the slightest, but the yarn is from a Harry Potter inspired range ;-) ) about 10 rows done

    Right better get on!
