hi lemontree - its awful isnt it? kids are home this week on half term too so its keeping them fed and watered without breaking the bank this week !! Going to my mums today so thats a free lunch
got stuff in for tea tonight too but will need some petrol on the way out as im running on fumes lol.
I'm working tonight but off tomorrow and wednesday so im planning on using this time wisely by doing individual spreadsheets for all my debts.
I love seeing them balances go downim quite sad like that.

Morning - am sooo tired today
got to nip to the post office later and also for a few bits if shopping - stuff in for lunches but need something for dinner tonight - I have a little problem and wondered what anyone else does? Ok so I have a smaller job that usually pays me £25 or so but thus week made £45 - do I treat the kids or put the £20 I hadn't budgeted for in savings for Xmas ? What would you do ?

i would either put it towards Christmas or pay a little bit extra off your debt.
but then i'm not a parent so don't have to listen to the 'can i have's ??'0 -

Started my new goal - it's on main DFW board - to make £3900 on eBay to clear the debts I have that accrue interest. I've got 5 listings and have pledged to list at least 1 thing a day. I am sending CV out like a mad person and have given myself a kick up the old but to stay on track and focused - I hate owing money - not too fussed about the mortgage just the other debts - once these are gone I intend to make overpayments to get mortgage free too !Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0

I say update but nothing major to report, I do look back at how dire things were and can see I've made huge inroads, looking forward to the Easter break and may do updated SOA then.Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0

So mainly been trawling through other ppl's diaries and posts and generally having a good toot around the forums again. I must say that I do see a pattern which I myself fall into a lot, when I'm not on here then I'm not on board 100% with the money saving either so that's a rather late New Years resolution for me - get using the forum and posting my daily goings on. Today had spends £60 for hairdresser, now I don't have it done all that often and it was in dire need. I am going to do an updated SOA at some point over the next few days, I'm keeping my eye on things coming down and down but do know I could do better on the daily spends and things like food shopping, I do have a budget in my head but find it difficult to always stick to it. I have a couple of debts paid up in May which together total a monthly payment of £185. I am then going to use the snowball method and add this £185 to my fixed payment of £75 per month to pay off one CC. And then once this one is clear use the £260, along with the fixed payment of £125 (to make £385) per month to clear the remaining card. I have plans in place and am already putting them into practise but I guess posting on here will keep me motivated.Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0

Ok so what have I done today? Donated £3 to charity at work, £10.65 spends at Asda and £7.40 at Greggs
. OH and me are going out to dinner tonight just the 2 of us, we don't spend a lot of quality time together with work and kids etc and as we don't drink (much anyway) smoke or generally socialise much otherwise we like to try to have a meal out and a chat once a week. On another note made home made cottage pie and home made peanut butter cookies which are divine
.
I am planning to do my SOA this weekend or next week when OH is away and I won't get distracted so will update then.Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0
