hey all, keeping positive just about, our car passed its annual mot with no hiccups (major bonus as i didnt have one penny put aside incase it failed!!!!), BUT my boiler is now broken too :( i think theres a problem with the pump but its gonna have to wait until the end of the month when we get paid then will have to be a priority as we cant have no heating for much longer as its starting to get a bit chilly at night !!

Still plodding away at the old debt, nothing much has happened - just continuing with the payments as normal, i am finding that im falling behind on my gas, electric and water though !! not good - need to get these ear marked as priority and try to get a chunk paid off each but i have no money to do so!! when will it end lol

ermmm, what to update on - well nothing of any major significance has happened lately, just plodding on as usual, need some real help with my budget though, im just not being realistic - basically once we get paid monthly im not leaving us enough to live on for the rest of the month so after like a week and half were skint, i do have tax credits paid weekly but not enough to pay food and travel expenses for the week. im seriously going to have to re-write - even thought of giving paypal a go but im not sure.

  • Hi dotty, haven't been on for a while so thought I would stop by and say hi.

Sorry to hear the budget isn't going great - mine has required some tweaking too -I think it's all a normal part of the process, the point is that at least you ARE budgeting and you can recognise that you might have to change it around a bit. Hows the extra cash each month going?

    Paypal?

Morning Dotty, come back on here young lady you know you always do better when you keep your diary going.

Why don't you post your budget on here again and do it 100% accurate and with details of those debts. I worry you are putting too much pressure on paying too many debts too quickly, if that makes sense.

    Debt really does suck :D

Probably a silly question Dotty, but are you using a snowball calculator to determine debt payments? If you're struggling to budget a bit of help from tools such as this (and spreadsheets) might help with the old cash flow.

    They worked for me anyway.

Hi all - not posted much over the Xmas period but that doesnt mean to say I've not been MSE'ing - now Christmas and New Year out the way so to speak am more determined than ever to keep going on the battle of the debts. 2009 was prob the worst financial year for me for a long time but it taught me some much needed lessons and I'm more determined than ever to get my debt right down this year - i'm aiming that by the end of 2010 I will only have 4 debts left, one to my dad, with the other 3 due to be paid off in 2011/2012 (hopefully sooner as I will try to throw extra at them), I have a question if anyone on here can help - regarding my secured loan - the term ends in April 2010 (after 6 long years!) however, we have a problem - due to curcumstances at the end of 2009 we have to rign them to agree a fived payment for 3 months, the problem is this ends in Feb - then the real problems kick in - the balance then will be about £2,700.00, all apart from about £450.00 of this has been added on for missed payments charged for bounced DD's etc and I dont know what to do - I wont have the money to pay like 1300.00 per month for march and April - any ideas how i can approach this please?
