Hi I just wanted to add my best wishes for getting DF.
My advice for whats is worth is keep a spending diary (fancy package, spreadsheet or notebook). This has been and remains an eye opener for us in terms of what we thought we were spending in things against what we were spending!! This with a budget will get you a long way to breaking even each month and eventually having a surplus to throw at the debt.
When we started we had a small shortfall and now its a large surplus although our debts were massive!!
Good luck and remember we're all in this together!! :TWorking Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -

Hi all, ime fine thanks - hope you lot are too
Good news today, had a letter from RBS Solicitors (after the CCJ) and they are happy to allow us to keep the current payment we are making to them each month, could have been worse i suppose. I am planning to keep paying this for now as we still owe them some of the balance but am hoping that once the bank charges reclaiming floodgates open back up, as i already have claimed over 2.2K off them, if all goes well, they will reduce the balance and therefore the debt on this one.
BUT, at least, for now, i consider it a result and as long as these regular payments are made they will take no firther action against us, which is a relief.
I'm slowly readjusting to the lightbulb moment again and one minute i feel really positive and the other one, scared to death.Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0 -
