My tip is to use a spreadsheet and update it every couple of days to make sure you're on target.

I also dont know if its possible, but you do seem to buy a lot of milk & bread, can you get a chest freezer form somewhere, or a smallunder counter freezer ( thinking freecyle) and but bread & milk in one hit. morrissons often have bogof on bread, useless if you dont have frezer space.i saw sainsburys doing eco bags of milk you do need to buy the jug though, but the bags are 75p, a lot cheaper than the plastic cartons. i suppose any freidge door jug would do, and they freeze well around things as it comes in bags.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Reduced bread is fine too (if you're only planning on freezing and re-using as you go) - and it costs 1/3 of the price!

LOL, thanks for that, im rubbish with excel - me and excel dont mix , well i cannot believe it, my budget (due to ebay sales income and the fact that for some randon reason i get 2 x child benefit payments in my budget dates) means that for once i can pay EVERYTHING on time and be upto date, im still planning to be extra careful especially with the food and incidentals so i dont go mad and hopefully have some left by next pay day, so in reality over the next 8 months (after this one) i need to set myself the challenge of earning approx an extra £250 per month, this month i have over-acheived but i need to keep the momentum going especially as christmas isnt too far away too! it can be really satisfying paying your bills and debts lol

That's the trick! One of the hardest things is sticking to it, it takes a good few months of balancing the books well before you'll really feel like you're making a difference.

    Keep it up :)

Oops, posted on wrong thread - had meant to post on grocery challenge one.. D'oh!

Just read thru your diary - good luck with your debt slaying. Just started my own and it's really insightful to see everything laid out in black and white.
