i just listed £270 worth of Thomas Cook Holiday vouchers on Ebay aswell, so with all my stuff on there at the mo and if i make cutbacks on the grocerys etc all including the car tax should be covered this month already :)

i may sound mega dumb here but whats a 'daily clicks' spreadsheet?

Long story short, you click advertiser links/use their search box etc. and get paid a few pence a time for doing so. With discipline and time it's possible to make about £4 a day, but it is slow and thankless work!

Looking at completed auctions for you, the standard drop in price seems to be roughly 20%. So I'd accept c. £220.

Strictly speaking, 80% of £270 is £216, but every little helps. Also, make sure you're careful and trust the potential buyer - deals made outwith of eBay auctions leave you open to conmen!

You decide a price. They pay first, you don't send squat until the payment has cleared fully. Make sure to use special delivery and maybe note voucher numbers/take a photo etc.

if they pay by paypal, is that automatically covered? i have bidders on two items now, totalling £211 so far so im a happy bunny, this will more than cover the shortfall for the coming month if i also cut back as decided by £40 a week on the groceries, thats £371 (so far) - the listings havent finished yet and i have more to list also :), im hoping i might even be able to pay one debt off in full next month at this rate :) so very positive today for me..

  • Well done on the ebaying! I think as long as the sale is thorugh ebay and paypal you have some level of cover. And I'd agree - wait until you have the cold hard cash in your hand before you send anything out.

As long as you send the parcel via a signed for delivery (anything over £32 send special), as the buyer can still open dispute so many days after the auction ended despite having paid.
Don't let it put you off as long as you send recorded / special delivery you should be ok.
Some sellers have the money held by paypal for higher value items of mobile phones etc until the buyer has left you positive feedback. Though it's never happened to me.
