Try http://www.saynoto0870.com/ for your 08 numbers.
I get free calls to geographical numbers on Virgin but not the 0870 numbers this site gives alternate numbers to call
Believe me I use that all the time, unfortunately some of the numbers I dial they are not available on the website which is a pain!0 -
I notice a few people on this thread have left Virgin.
When you leave Virgin I understand you must either return the box or make it available for collection. If you state you will make available for collection Virgin may offer to send you a returns envelope.
Now I been talking to someone who needs to return the box but has been charged £1.25 each and very month by Virgin for them sending a bill. Is there a fair charge they can make on Virgin for the time it will take them to send back the box?0 -
Below is the package I had until today.

Free Voicemail: £0.00
Fully Itemised Billing: £0.00
Broadband Size M: £20.50
Paper Bill Charge: £1.25
Total: £22.23
Below is the package I have from today after negotiating.

I rang virgin and they said whoever stated the amount you have is lying. The only offer I could get was Telephone line, broadband and unlimited calls for £26.79 and then I had to take off id caller when they would not entertain anything lower. How on earth do you people get it for so little, another said £20 . An explanation would be good please.:T0

The deal I had before yesterday is pretty standard. Loads of people who have been with virgin for 10 years or so since the ntl day have a very good old deal like that. For my new deal I had to ring up the cancellations deapartment like 4 times. ou just have to ring up the cancellations department and tell them your thinking of leaving. But really depends on who you speak to, jus keep ringing back until someone gives you a better deal. One thing to bare in mind is that they cannot give you a discount on their broadband prices, only their phone package.
When I rang I told them o2 were offering the same deal but free 0845/0870 calls and 20mb broadband instead so I was thinking of leaving. So the first time I rang they gave me free 0845/0870 calls for £1.50. The second time I rang the person didnt give me anything. The third time the person ugraded my Broadband from M to L for £1 more by decreasing my Talk Unlimited plan cost. The fourth time I rang telling them Bt were offering a free Hub so I wantedd to leave sothey offered me one.0 -
is the free 0845/0870 numbers something that anyone can add on to their package for £1.50?0

Last time I checked I wasn't even getting 1MB. :mad:0 -
My sky BB is terrible. I'm currently sharing a neighbours virgin BB connection and will switch back soon.
Last time I checked I wasn't even getting 1MB.
reminds me of the good old days of dialup 56kb modems!
sometimes you'd only reach 14kbits/sec! pages would load SSSSSLLLLLOWWWLY
i phoned virgin and they said that the 0845 add on at £1.50 can only be added by virgin relations and they would add another 12months onto my contract, im going to wait until the contracts up and hoperfully get further reductions and it added on for free then.
I took the XL tv down to M and that saved 6.50/month in the meantime. Im not sure why we even needed XL TV, all the channels i watch are on M!0 -
Can someone help me with my bill? The guy on the phone gave a figure around £30 a month but the contract (new customer) states:
Telephone line rental £11.99
Phone BBand & Tv M+ Disc £12.50CR
Talk international £1.50
M+ (starter) £5.50
Broadband size:L £25.00
Manned installation charge £40.00
Free install on triple bn £40.00CR
I calculate this to be £31.49, is that correct?0
