I do indeed get a loyalty discount. Where do I go from here. Should I just grin and bear it. Thinking to contacting Ofcom.

Saw an advert this morning for a show called "Rip Off Britain". Shame it's already been recorded asI'd have a few things to say about Virgin!

    Hi mate

Dont worry about what the VM site shows its prices as.

If you check the cost of your package and then go to VM web site and select as a new customer the same packages you have now you will find that you are slightly better off. (loyalty bonus dosent count for much now its VM , it was different when Telewest and NTL gave them out as they has more flexibility.

You can try going to cancellations and haggle a bit, if you dont get anything worth while just cancel. They will give you a cancel date , and ALL the people i have spoken to get a call a few days later , they will offer you the best deal they can see how you get on from there. Its a good idea to have a plan of what you want and try and haggle for it. But you normally end up paying a little more get get a bit more for your pennies.

    Hello!

I'm out of contract and currently on...

    Telephone Line Rental £11.99
Phone, Broadband And TV Saving £-7.00
    Free Voicemail £0.00
    Broadband Size: M £20.50
    T V Size: M £0.00

    Total £25.49

I'll prob get shot down in flames for saying this but it seems a bit steep for what is essentially freeview, phone and bb.

What do people think? Could I do better? I quite fancy tvm+ and phone L but I'm not sure what I should be paying for that.

you're actually doing better than me as I pay £30 a month for the same package.
I had a sky tv rep call last week offering
    sky+hd box (free)
    1 tv pack
    everyday broadband
    freetime calls

all for £18 p/m no hidden extra's or installation fee's etc & this included 8 months free of BT line rental on a 12 month contract.
I signed up & also got my dad signed up the next day as he was fed up with virgin media.
Unfortunately my installation failed today because of neighbouring tree's blocking the signal to the dish. After making some phone calls to our housing association nothing can be done about the tree's, so I'm not happy at all.
Thought I would try ringing virgin telling them of the offer I got from sky & was considering leaving. Was put through to the retentions & the lady kept saying how sky are not being honest with what you get regarding broadband speeds, free calls & other charges. Tried her best to dissuade me but I said if she couldn't offer me anything better without costing me more then I was going to see how my dads install goes & probably switch too but she just said ok & that was it.
Thinking of getting rid of virgin now as I don't use house phone due to my mobiles free calls & not much on tv so really just want broadband.

    Not offered much,

telephone basic with free calls weekends
    medium tv package
    medium broadband
    free HD V+ box
    free installation
    £32.49 a month
[not sure if that includes the £2 for the auto reject withheld numbers I have added]

Not sure if there is a better deal or not?

    Hi

In a similar position to some of you here....feel I am paying too much

    Description Date/period Amount
    Line Rental 22 June - 21 July £11.99
    Talk Unlimited 22 June - 21 July £7.95
    Phone, Bband & TV M+ Discount 22 June - 21 July £-12.50
    M+ (Starter) 22 June - 21 July £5.50
    Broadband Size: L 22 June - 21 July £25.00

I would like to get o2 BB and o2 home phone as I am an o2 customer now. However as I understand I would have to get BT to reconnect my line (had BT before) costing £100+

Is it worth it? Any other deals out there? I pay £25 for my BB (L) which seems extortionate :(

I'm getting all those services not half price rental) and I pay around £50 a month, so that's not bad. And that's without having to ring retentions.
