Paper Shredding

In summer, I just tear our stuff up and put it in the compost bin. It's fairly soggy in there. Lots of slugs, black flies etc. I know it's not as secure as shredding but we don't have one. In the winter, it gets burned in the stove.0

my DD is a busar at a special-needs school and they have an industrial shredder there for shredding old records ect. I give her a bagful at odd intervals and she shreds it all for me0

I'm with Patchwork Quilt - my compost heap eats our confidential waste - a few tears by hand, a dunk in water and into the heap. As we have a secure back garden and a huge compost heap that I swear has a heart beating deep inside it I would enjoy watching an information thief being eaten by "the heap from hell"!0

I'm a bit of a saddo. Shredding makes me happy. Once i get the shredder out no piece of paper is safe within my line of vision. After i have done the shredding i empty it in to my compost bin :-)Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Saw a long TV advert recently for shredding scissors (basically like a normal pair of scissors but with 5 sets of blades) - £11.34 + £6/8 p+p for 2 pairs. Basically cut any sensitive details in both directions and better than a normal shredder. (Useful for chopping fresh herbs, etc. too.)
Betterware sell them though for approx. £5 :TMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I've been given permission to clear out masses of paperwork for a small charity I work for, it goes back years and years and years and years and years and years. Masses and masses of it. After taking out the important stuff that needs to be kept, I'm still left with things like duplicate copies of minutes, various circulars and god only knows what else. Much of it has personally identifiable information on it so can't go to recycling. What on earth can I do with it all? Even if I shred it, which will take ages and I'll probably go through hundreds of shredders in the process, I still have the problem of getting rid of the shreddings. I thought about using it for making paper logs, but have found in the past that really only newspaper works for those, printer paper for example doesn't stick together.
Any other bright ideas please?
Thanks
