Morning everyone.
Chasing - you are up at ridiculous times!!! Are you just not able to get a sleep during the night? Hope you are relaxing during the day a bit and not doing too much nesting. Not sure about shower curtains, but some of the ladies who have had home births just bought cheap ones. Maybe ask over on the Parent's Thread?
It is my last day today at work thank goodness. Still up about 4 times during the night so really feel like I am running on empty. Looking forward to knowing I can keep going back to bed if I feel like it (even though it's unlikely to happen!).
Have a nice day everyone. Hope everyone who feels crappy feels better soon. x0 -
Morning all i managed to get a good sleep last night i think, can't remember any trips to the loo!
Lidl is pot luck for what each store gets in. I have three within 20 of me in different directions so if you can go between them for the bargains you can usually get them. My mum can get them to call other stores for stock check but i don't have the knack of asking and just get blunt no, worth a try for persuasive laddies.lol
Now back to the conundrum that is my doctors. can't decide wither to call and try again for the doc or get my mum to call she's at the same docs or just go straight to the other place and explain what is happening.
Hope everyone is well and has a good day.
good luck and appropriate vibes to everyone.:T[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Shower curtains for homebirth - to cover the floor (am I right?) Is a cheapy ok or does anyone have a recommendation? that sounds so daft... I just noticed that they are made from different material. I have an old (waterproof) table protector but it is quite small...
Hey CB - we were advised on the shower curtain for the sofa - basically so you can get out and sit on it if necessary or lie down to be stitched. We're going to cover it with cheap towels. Bought both from Wilco (curtain £3, towels £2.50) If you're having a pool that should come with a floor covering...MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Squishy and Fitzio - enjoy your last days at work!
I am going to try and find a lidl near me today to get a body pillow I think. Think that would help me stop rolling onto my front as I sleep which I need to stop doing.
My mouth is sore again! It'd all only just calmed down after having really sore gums but now my top left wisdom tooth is rubbing against the inside of my cheek every time I move my mouth and it's getting really sore. This happened when my wisdom teeth came through, but on both sides, and I had to have the teeth filed down to stop them rubbing. Don't want to have to go back to the crappy dentist again so really hoping it goes away on its own0 -
Just to say i was on my way out yesterday to buy some baby clothes ( jeans and tops) when my sil rang and said 'im coming over, ill be there in a mintue', when she got here she had a black bin bag with her full of baby clothes 3 coats, 5 pairs of jeans, tshirts jumpers blankets muslins not even opened and some evisu?? stuff, saved myself a packet!!!always on the lookout for a bargin always better when its free!!:T0

Morning all.
SJ - Hope you mouth feels better soon. I had REALLY sensitive teeth and toothache a few months back and it had me in tears at times. I rang the dentist in the end and she subscribed me some antibiotics over the phone to help in the short term as I was going away for the weekend. Not sure if they all do that. Oh having re read ur post I realise its ur teeth rubbing ur gum so dont spose that will help, sorry!!
Had a better nights sleep last night, me and DH managed to stay in the same bed together, lol!! We have got a friend staying over in our spare bed on Sat night so we are gonna have to stay in the same bed then!!

Thanks boo, I had really sensitive gums (swollen and sore) a week or so ago and now a different but equally annoying problem has cropped up! Hoipefully this will go too!
Think there were 2 ladies a while back saying they weren't sure whether to have anyone for a birth partner, Beenie and someone else I think. Anyway just read this page on babycentre about relaxation in labour and saw this paragraph:
Can you really relax in labour?
It's certainly not easy, but a few simple techniques can help, especially if you have the loving support of a birth companion. Being well supported in labour has repeatedly been shown to be the single most important factor in determining a positive birth experience for the woman and a positive outcome for her baby.
Obviously that's just one sentence but thought it may be of interest.0 -
Hi everyone,
I’ve just found out I’m pg for the first time after 3 months of TTC, and am so excited! :jI’m only 4 weeks gone, so I’m trying not to get carried away.:o I have noticed a few symptoms, though, and wanted to ask you experienced ladies a couple of questions.
I’ve been getting the odd cramp over the last few days – some very light but some more severe – like period cramps. I’ve read that this is fairly normal, but wanted reassurance that someone out there has had the same thing?
Also, despite being really happy about the news, I’ve actually been feeling really a bit low for the last week. I feel like work is a real struggle, lacking my normal confidence – I just wish I could curl up in a ball and stay home. I was actually relieved to find out I’m pg as now I know it’s probably just hormones. Has anyone else had this?
Actually, looking at my questions I guess the answer is pretty obvious. But I don’t want to tell anyone (except boyfriend!) for a few more weeks, so I don’t have anyone else to ask! I guess I just want to know I’m normal.
Thanks for reading!
