  • Has anyone had anti-D injections? Are they just fairly run of the mill or are they particularly nasty? Also, are they in your butt?!

Got mine next week and was planning on going out for dinner afterwards, but will re-arrange if they make you feel rubbish x x

Me too Glam lol :o, although I brought this up with the midwife before my booking in bloods were done at the hospital and she said I could request tests for either oral or t'other so I asked for both. The results came back as nothing detected (which apparently doesn't mean you have never had it just that nothing was present at the time of testing, so the doc said anyhow.) Edit: So I'm really none the wiser on that one really except that if obviously you make sure you aren't experiencing an "attack" if you are delivering vaginally.

Had an appointment with MW on tues and had +3 sugars in my urine so she's coming out tomorrow to test it again. Also am anemic which hopefully explains the earth-shattering "everything-can-go-to-hell" type knackeredness I've been experiencing lately. If the +3 wasn't just the coco pops and apple juice I had beforehand then I'm in for a GTT next week. Hope that it was though I don't fancy the finger-pricking thing but I'm sure I'd cope. Glam - don't know if this is my imagination but have been feeling abnormally thirsty, could this be a symptom? I know it's a symptom of type 2 but I don't know in this case

Aw, the pic of Tigs little one almost had me in pieces with tears, he looks so little. Congratulations to you both he is lovely.

Congratulations to all Fairydawn and Suzy too - plus anyone else I might have missed!

GISI - I didn't find the anti-d too bad. It stings as it goes in and the area was a bit sore after but it didn't make me feel ill or anything after it. I had mine in my thigh I think, I was more freaked about the thought of having a blood product injected than it actually hurting, IMHO you should be fine for your dinner HTH.

I thought I had an attack at about 10 weeks - out of hours doc did swab but I never found out if they were normal or not.

I will ring the MW tomorrow and see what she says, I read that you can take preventative treatment from Week 35 anyway so might see if I can get this just in case and maybe see if I can get GP or MW to do a swab.

Re thirst - My urine is always clear, everytime I go to see MW. I only had GTT cos of my mum's diabetes - I do find I get quite thirsty especially in the evenings but not sure if this is a result of the diabetes or not

oh my unisex moses basket came today :jbit early i know but it was from a local company that sells new baby things but they don't have the same stock all the time and has one off's. I fell in love with it and they mainly do pink or blue or way too frilly white ones but this one is perfect. It was £30 for the basket, stand, dressings (hood and duvet) fitted sheet and mattress. I am very happy with it but a bit annoyed as i had emailed them several times about collecting it. which they agreed too, then it comes delivered. I paid p&p but they said they would refund it after i collect which of course they won't do now i have it.

I think I`m going to run off now and have an early one i`m completely wiped today. I'm thinking lush bath bomb, glass of fruit juice, grapes from the fridge and a few chapters of New moon. OH has just started a guitar hero session and its making my head hurt already, apparently it has to be really loud or the game wont work propally. I`m not convinced.
