I agree- call the Dr, ask for an emergency apt and don't tell them what it's about. You're not obliged to tell them, and if you feel like something's wrong then you need to get checked out.
Have you considered a private early scan? I had one, cost £50 and was prob the best £50 spent since I got pregnant as it really put our minds at rest x x:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Three2be - that's dreadful. I'm not surprised you were upset, I would have been in floods of tears, it's the last thing you need and she's no doctor. Definitely call tomorrow, and don't give the cow of a receptionist any details, it's between you and the healthcare professional (and that definitely isn't her!)

Thanks all but calling the doctor for an appointment is a chore in itself. you need to call between 8.30 and 9(as in school run time) when you call you get reception who ask what doc you want and is it an emergency. if it's an emergency you need to give them details if not it's pot luck when you get a call back. have tried saying i will not discuss it before but they then put you as non emergency as is their way apparently. you cant get anyone without calling main reception it's like a call center. they don't make advance appointments and you can only get an appointment after speaking to a doctor on the phone. apparantly the same with the midwife at 1o'clock.
And thank you for suggesting the private scan everyone. I would love one but at the moment even the cheapest one is not viable. very tight budget at the moment. but it's on my saving for list.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Also someone suggested a drop in clinic. I am trying to find one now but so far all i can find is clinics that deal with pregnancy for those that have drug problems hiv drink problems or are teenagers. appart from going to A&E i am held to ransom at the doctors.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

32b- Grrr to your doctors!!! Some receptionists are complete twts. Is part of the reason i changed doctors. I was thinking, cant you make up a medical emergancy. Nothing to serious, but enough to get you through the door?
Seeing as the doctors always ask what the problem is even if you explain it to the receptionist.
Or is that wrong of me to suggest?
I wanted another McDonalds today. A big mac infact. I had a craving for one last night.
