afternoon all,
Just got back from scans , didn't need internal as she found cyst straight away , still measuring same as last time , well nearly , 78 x 75 x 45 mm, so good news no more growth , but bad news still there and def ovarian cyst , it has now moved again , which is why i am getting pains still most days, she measured baby and doing great , which was good news, now have to wait for consultant appointment 21st Sept to see what will happening
OH asked sonographer if she could see a willy:p , am 16 + 4 she said I'm not sure but I'll have a look, then bought up the bum , and she said i am pretty sure that is a willy and balls and we saw a little willy and balls too, so looks like a little boy

Congratulations on the new babies, guys and so quick Jacksonsmum, what's the secret?
32B - I thought when people offered to babysit it was supposed to make our lives easier. lol
Popping to Lidl this morning and then sorting through our filing cabinet, car needs mot and service at the end of the month so thought I'd better get organised and make sure I've got all the paperwork. Then an afternoon of stitching and relaxing awaits.0 -
It might sound a bit weird, but I think my mind is finally coming out of 'denial' and I'm realising that I do actually need to go through labour
I always logically knew this, but it's just been hitting me the last couple of days that there is actually a stage between being pregnant and the baby being here :rotfl: I think it's the number of new baby pics we're seeing...

jacksons mum - congrats on little Ellis! So happy to hear the birth went well
lil miss - she's so beautiful! thanks for the photos
ml - probably not long now for you, eek - good luck!!
Whoever it was that asked about me last night, thanks. I did go home early from work and took a long nap - I only popped on v quick last night & saw lil miss's birth so had to comment. Feel better this morning, but as it's Friday & I have perfect excuse of being pregnant, have called in sick today as well in order to (hopefully!) stamp out this cold once and for all. It prolly wouldn't have lingered so long if I had just taken off on Weds or something. I hate calling in sick and usually only do it if I'm dying, so this is weird for me, LOL!
Enjoy your days, ladies - yay for Friday!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Hi All,
Mind if i join here?? I tend to stick to the Old Style threads usually but have browsed this one a few times and thought a bit of moral support might be good!! I'm about to be a first time mum, 27 weeks today and due on 11th December and desperately hoping she isn't so late i have to be induced which would be at 12 days over so could mean i'm in over Christmas. Thinking positively about that though and will be doing everything i can from 38 weeks to encourage her to arrive on time!! I also have a low lying placenta so am waiting for it to be confirmed that it has moved up out of the way at a scan at 34 weeks.
We are getting organised for her arrival and i am nesting like mad and have to keep stopping myself from overdoing it. The nursery is painted just waiting for a carpet and we have been very lucky in having lots of friends offer us things from thier babies so ver the next couple of months with all those things and the things we have bought so far we should be pretty much sorted.
I am hoping for a home water birth, placenta and any other complications permitting, but am quite open minded about how things end up. And plan to have a breast fed, cloth bottomed baby but again am quite prepared for things not going as expected!
Think thats it really. I'm married to DH of almost 2 years but have been together for 10 years altogether. Live the good life in the countryside and have dogs, chickens and horses to fit around my new life as a parent and am more worried about the challenges that may bring than anything else!
Look forward to getting to know some more mummies to be on here, particularly first timers and those with babies due in December!0 -
Just watching a baby program on tv, with a student midwife learning about home births and heard something that made me smile but also go 'so true!'
The student was saying she had attended her first two deliveries when the main midwife told her to call them births as "babies are born, pizzas are delivered!" :rotfl:
Lucky mum though - only 50 seconds from waters breaking to delivery! Though it was her 9th baby...
Edit - welcome raggydoll0
