:rotfl:glad that didnt happen to me the times i have been in - they close curtains if you need the loo too and cant get out of bed and for when the doc comes round to examine you - i would have been mortified if that happend to me so - good point:D
some of the nurses are not very understanding when it comes to privacy, my mum was in last year and asked me to help her with her undies as she refused to let a wee girl(the nurse about 20) remove her smalls lol anyways i helped then we raided the goody bag i had brought her and just as she scoffed a biccy the nurse opened the curtain no warning. I bet her ears are still stinging from my mums lecture lol

Could go on and on at the things i have seen lol

Hi guys just popping in from Parent club thread, can you remember when your maternity exemption card came through as cant remember from last time round? Did you have to send off for it?

I filled in the form after my 8 week apt, then it took a couple of weeks to come through. I did get a prescription before it had come through and just ticked the box to say I had one and the pharmacist was happy to do it without charge.

Re: frilly knickers - I actually bought a couple of pretty pairs in a larger size because I didn't want to wear giant horrible ones. They were full-bottom ones to fit in maternity pads so they were practical enough, but I hated the thought of horrible granny knickers when I was already feeling unattractive.

As it happened, post-section the hospital insisted I wear mesh knickers so they went unworn and I have a couple of pairs of very pretty large pants squirrelled away for the next baby ;)

Sorry to put a dampner on your advice(pun lol) but i'd check if they mind you doing it first. When i had DS the women next to me had a spill and needed to change so shut the curtain and just at that the MW decided no closed curtains as visitors were arriving and well lets just say several ppl including me seen more of her than we wanted:eek: I used the loo/changing rooms after that.
Good God, 32B. MW's ears would be blistered if they did that to me. I have real issues with privacy and the whole 'other peoples husbands' is the reason I want to be in a room on my own and am likely to go home if I cant be. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to be having baby and more than happy that I can cope with her on my own but I don't need my nose rubbed in the fact that baby H's dad is a to55er who doesn't want to know and that I won't have a partner who is as excited about her as I am.
Harley which HC outfit did you go for? Is it on the MC website? I'd love to have a looksie.....

Now look what you made me do GISI. There is loads of lovely Humphrey stuff on the website!!! How on earth am I going to resist that with all those stupid vouchers to get rid of. I was trying to save them for a Highchair but now I have seen loads of cute outfits. If I cave in I'm blaming you.:p

Yay on Glam and Baby Jack coming home.

Gosh i am getting really jealous of you's all. i wish we got more than one scan so i could find out the flavor to buy lots of little outfits:( Although given that i'm usually very tiny in the bump department i may get one later on!!!! oh got all excited their.

Did anyone have weird cravings. i've not had any but i usually go off more foods than the ones i want to eat.

Fitzio - sorry, I hope you didn't take it that I was being critical of your list! Was just more remarking on the general point that it seems incredible that so much stuff is needed for such a short span of time! :D Guess it's a new reality to face, especially re: the baby and just how much STUFF they seem to require.

I haven't used a hair dryer in about a decade! Never heard there was anything bad about lying down with wet hair? Besides, when you've got a new baby, I seriously doubt hair is going to high on the priorities list ;).

3 - don't be too jealous. Not everyone's finding out the flavor, so you can join us in moaning about the woes of seriously boring unisex baby clothes! :D

We get 2 here, one is at 12 weeks for a nucheal scan test thingy. And the anomaly one at 20 weeks, they have only just decided to let people know the sex of the baby though. Otherwise i would of had to go private.

I haven't had any set cravings, they change each week lol.
This week i dont really fancy anything, but i am now opting to eat tomatos rather than throw them away. I usually hate them and their gooey texture. Infact some of the things i have been craving have a gooey texture which makes me gag, like oranges :( I was eating them and gagging, then trying to swallow the bit of orange without being sick :rotfl:

I hope i dont crave jelly at all anytime soon. as you may of guessed i hate things with gooey textures. Which means that the whole "swallowing semen is a good way to induce labour" is out of the window  :rotfl:
