  • Not much on TV tonight so I think I might head upstairs and have a bath and an early night.

Managed to make two big portions of curry for the freezer, and also a big vat of soup for this week when I don't feel like cooking. Quite enjoying my batch cooking at the moment and the freezer is getting nicely stocked up for when baby is here.

New Miss Marple is incredibly dull. They don't spend long enough introducing the characters and none of the Marples are as good as Joan Hickson.

Does everyone have large freezers? I've done four days worth of meals in boxes but as I've only got an undercounter model I can't really stock up any more. Wish I had a big chest freezer. Mum told me not to bother with batch cooking as I'd have plenty of time, but the MW told us to do it, and my SIL said if you get out of your Pjs in the first 2 weeks you're doing well, so if that happens to me I can't see myself wanting to cook:confused:

Oooh lovin all the Humphreys stuff everyone is posting, has anyone checked out here.. http://apple.clickandbuild.com/cnb/shop/humphreyscorner The main site also has lots of fun things on there too. Have got a few unisex HC bits that have picked up in the sales, ie towel bales, flannels, soothers, sleepsuits, as well as an uber cute ceramic pic frame. Will be dangerous when we know the bubs flavour in a few weeks!

Got my nhs exemption card 2/3 weeks after first doc appt. Haven't had any cause to use it yet though.

Doubled up the Tesco vouchers but was pleasently suprised they have 3 months expiry on them so have decided to hold onto them a bit longer and not rush into buying stuff just yet. Still have another £10 left so may double them into clothing vouchers and get some outfits for bubs after next scan :D

EA - hope that baby predictor is acurate :D

I think the main problem after the birth is time. You want to be their for the baby at every sound so you are torn ...make food or feed/change baby i know what we will all do first. When i had my first 2 i lived on pasta and baked potatoes HM soup lots of toast with cold meats etc. You'd be surprised how good beans on toast are after 12hrs of forgetting to eat.

Harley - that outfit is gorgeous. I hadn't thought about a going home outfit but as everyone else was having one, I thought I should. It's just a white velour sleep suit from John Rocha with a matching cardigan/jacket though so nothing too fiddly. Just nice and simple.

Harley - what was the name of the stuff you and WM (I think) got from the docs? Do you think it's made a difference (better than Gaviscon)? Ta.

Ah, that outfit is so cute Fitz. I have some neutral stuff too - in fact bought a similar jacket but with a bear on it from Boots a few weeks back. Everything I have been given is pretty much girls stuff though and I've only bought that jacket and the two humphrey outfits. I've been really lucky with people giving me so much clothes.

The hearburn tablets are called Omeprazole. They are amazing, you just take one per day and I have only had heartburn once since I started taking them. And that was the night that she decided to turn round so I'm not sure if it was acid working its way up my throat or various vital organs:eek:.

Ah, the first cross stitch - Daisy Chain - is the one that I won on ebay last week. Hoping it arrives tomorrow as they supposedly sent it on Thursday.

:hello: Hi myself and Alex are home. I am extremely happy and so in love with him. Just a shame he has his days and nights mixed up already. His big brother adores him and his dad has gone all gooey eyed over him.

Will post birth story and pics tomorrow. Short story went into spontaneous labour on thursday night after a show at 10.30pm. 11 days before elective section date. Section delivery was fantastic, born to the strains of Abba "The winner takes it all" and all the midwives at Wigan RAEI were fantastic.

OH is up for feeding duties tonight, and i am hoping for a good nights sleep.Yeah right!

Big congrats to Glam and gorgoeus baby Dylan. Snap weights at 6lb 3.:T

Must now read all the way back, to see if i've missed any more births.....

Boo – Enjoy the hospital tour (I wish we could have one, I would feel much better knowing what I am doing!), and the carvery. Sounds like a nice Sunday.

Hi all, well the hospital tour went well, lovely lady showed us round. All seemed nice and chilled out in there and the rooms looked nice and clean :) Kind of made it feel a lot more real now though!! Had a nice carvery afterwards, hehe, piled my plate high as usual and then struggled to eat it all, as usual!!

Getting there with the nursery now, DH and his bro did the wallpaper this morning, it looks lovely!! We just need to finish the chest of drawers and get that in there and get the cot put up, so that stuff can be put in its right place :) I will take a pic once its done and show you :T

    xx

Good luck on the nights sleep i've got months to go but OH actually said to me today he was tired and had a bad night lol gave him a dressing down and off he went tail between his legs and finished the painting in the bathroom. Feel like putting something in his drink to make him pee all night then he can at least keep me company lol

Welcome home WM. look forward to those photos of Alex. Really hope you get the sleep you so clearly deserve.

32B, you just know that if you spiked his drink he'd be in there when you needed it and you would end up kicking yourself, lol
