  • Well I make my own version of moussaka which is a lentil bolognese base (the authentic is made with lamb mince) then I do a layer of fried off aubergine, a layer of potato (or I sometimes use sweet potato) and then a layer of cheese sauce. You can also top it with a mixture of beaten egg, yogurt, milk and cheese to give a firmer top but I'm not keen on egg so use the cheese sauce instead.

I'm sure someone will come along with a more authentic one but I must admit it is one of my favourites.

Just making veggie shepherd's pie at the moment....mmmm :j

Thanks Xmas, bought some earlier but didn't know what time ILs were coming over so will put it on in a minute, just typical on a bank holiday when you can't see a doc! Sorry for whinging again, i think the emotional rollerc oaster is by far the worst thing about being pg- am i cry baby at the best of times and now I just feel on the verge of tears all the time, grr!

As for moussaka, no idea how to mkae but its one of my favourites, discovered it on honeymoon and love it

    Glad your back Aless,

Think will have some icecream and then try and get comfortable with my yoghurt!

    Night all, x

    morning girls...

just quickly popping in to let you know Alfie Sidney was born August 29th at 10.15am... weighing in at 8lb 8oz

beautiful.. slight clicky hip that needs a scan in 4weeks and v tongue-tied which makes BF uncomfortable, but is a greedy little thing!

will pop back later when had some sleep/food/wash....

    Congratulation on the birth :j

Do please come back onto your other thread when you get a free minute (when Alfie's about 17, lol) and let everyone know how you're both doing. We've been popping in and out to see if you've been back on and got the good news from someone who must post on this thread I think.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Evening all, hope everyone is well. Stay put vibes flowing for the next couple of hours for those that want sept births lol

Had a stress full day today sister had a bad day so did my mum when she contacted the docs lol i warned her what they were like but she just thought i was exaggerating, she found out i was actually being nice in some of my views.

DD has taken ill and looks like she may need tomorrow off, she's sound asleep and has been since about five. Will need to check her soon see if she can face food.

It has been a tiring day today i tried to have a sleep 3 times but each time i got comfy the phone rang lol Early night i think with plug pulled out.

32B - I always put my phone on silent if i want a nap!!

Right, OH thinks I have just been doing some boring data entry stuff for him but I think I've actually managed to do the whole project so he doesn't have to do anything :shhh::j

Just hope it's good enough so that he can wait until Wednesday and then send it off. :D
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
  • I just made banana bread and forgot to put the egg in! How flipping annoying. I'm hoping it might be edible with custard or something. Bloomin' baby brain.

Try natural live yoghurt chick it gets a bit messy but it does work until you can get to the docs :-) x

Make sure you eat some as well to tackle it from the inside. I feel for you. Not got thrush but had a horrendous cough and cold for the last 2 weeks and I can't take anything. Not got a temp so don't want to dose on parcetamol. Ask pharmacist and they said I could take a mild glycerin syrup but best to ride it out!

Just made veggie kievs and roasted vegetables.

Talking of nesting need to dust the house and hoover upstairs tomorrow. Oven needs cleaning but might have to wait until next week when we've cleaned out OH's shed and he can grab me a face mask. Wish I'd bought a Pyro oven...
