:mad::mad: every time that list is posted i get so annoyed. I WANT to be on it now. 2 weeks tomorrow and i will be, deep breaths in out in out grr
Congratulations fitzilian cant wait for more pics and BS story.
aw don't worry it won't be long - I can add you on with a temporary date which you can change when you find out.
OH getting excited - he's just remembered the eviction plan starts tomorrow! Have told him he needs to work hard today to get job apps and his work done so that from tomorrow we can focus on finishing off nursery and get started on the eviction therapy
Xmas - phew thought you'd gone early then! Looks like we have the same plan in mind :rotfl:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Nicki - Has your consultant not put in your notes 'Not to be considered for VBAC, C-Section Only'. If he hasn't I would suggest tomorrow you ask him to put it on the front of your notes in big letters so that any moron can read it.
As for the MW - she was obviously a jobsworth. I know you are worried about going into labour before tomorrow (I'm sending you stay put vibes!) but the more you worry the more you will get stressed out and that's not good.
Could you write a note to attach to the front of your notes explaining everything in your post above - your concerns, discussions with consultant, your wishes etc (similar to birth plan) so that you can at least show them how you feel instead fo worrying about portraying it to them?A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Niki i hope everything calms down for you and you get things sorted with the consultant there is nothing worse than pushy midwives when your already stressed out.
Glam he either has to come tonight or from friday onwards cant be dealing with going into labor whilst OH is i court that would be a nightmare. mind you if it happens in court i wonder if the judge will take pity on us :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Hey all,
Just checking in to say Hi and see who popped. Congrats Fitz, I`m so jealous!!!
I`m supposed to be having a tidying day but I just haven't got any energy again, I`m also stressing a bit because I have a big work meeting on thursday where I`m pretty sure I'm going to get fired, and the scan on friday which I`m much more nervous about. I`m sure the scan will be fine but it just a completely new situation to me and I`m still not quite sure that its real. That they will say nope there is nothing there you made it all up and wasted our time. Go away
Does it show i`m having a depressed day lol?

Morning ladies,
Just posted a shed load of stuff on freecycle and eBay, had some collections already. Cleaned out the bathroom cabinet, sorted through DVD collection, OH put up a couple of new shelves for me in gardening shed and I've got him to agree to clearing out his shed next sat! Yipee!
Going to sit on my bum for the rest of the day after I've had a shower and watch the US Open, which starts today, what a great time to have maternity leave!
MIL bought around loads of baby toys yesterday. Most need a wash, so I'm waiting till tomorrow to call and find out when my new machine is being delivered, as OH has banned me from using the old one as it keeps tripping the fuse switch!
Big hug, Nicki. Try to stay positive - always someone trying to scupper your day!

woweeee I'm top of the list!
Congratulations Fitzilian, I've followed your story all the way through - although I've never 'spoken' to you, because our due dates were so close I took a special interest. You'll be a brilliant mum.
No signs of me budging off the top of the list for a while, even my braxton hicks seem to have quietened down. Baby is still wriggly and active and only engaged by the minimum amount so doesn't seem very keen on conserving his energy on coming out yet. Obviously too comfy in there. I feel like a gigantic whale though.
I'm not really complaining though, I really wanted him to be a September baby and so only need to get through today!!First baby (a boy) due 03.09.09 - eeeeeeeeekkkkk!0 -
Fitz, congratulations on birth of baby Alfie. Can't wait to hear about how you did and who was with you. Piccys too obviously - it seems I can't get enough of babies at the mo.
Nicki, sorry to hear you had such a scare. I agree with Glam that you should write your own note on the front for now and get the Consultant to endorse it tomorrow. Explain about the midwife having her own opinions and them not agreeing with yours and that you don't want to be faced with this once you are in established labour.
Fish, I think it is fairly safe to say that the majority of us went into our first scan half expecting to be told that we had dreamed it. I think it is a pretty normal reaction and hope that everything is fine for you. Fingers crossed for you on the job front too - preg brain won't let me remember any of the circumstances but really hope that it works out for you.

bear - sounds like a productive morning. I've made OH sort thru all his gear so he is currently making the most of the last day of free listing and getting as much as he can on eBay. If we can declutter even a third of the stuff it will make a huge difference!
fishcake - why do u think u will get fired?A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

you probably didn't. we paid private for ours so maybe baby was just making sure we got our money's worth :rotfl: He's his father's son!!
It tests for Downs and has to be done between 11 and 13 weeks - some hospitals do it routinely others don't. If you didn't have a blood test then you probably didn't have it.
Beenie - agree with harley! I'd make the most of someone else cooking and sod your ex!
Thats the thing though, I know I am getting a blood test for it at 16 weeks, I wont be happy if they didnt do it and were meant to! cos now it will be too late to do it!
EA - We just mentioned Lily as well this morning,

the 16 week bloods are for the triple or quadriple test - this is different to the Nuchal Scan.
Nuchal Scan looks for downs markers in the spine and nasal bone and the bloods are much more specific than the ones taken at 16 weeks - I think they are something like over 90% accurate.
The tests done at 16 weeks are just blood markers and are about 60% accurate.
I didn't have the 16 week bloods as they don't advise it if you have the Nuchal Scan - our risk came back at 1 in 10,000.
I really don't think you were meant to have had it - might be worth a call to MW. There are more hospitals that DON'T offer it than ones that do IYSWIM
