Does this sound like an ok message to send to my sister's friend?Hiya don't know if you remember me, you came to my engagement party in January? Passed out in the toilet? lol :P
Well anyway Lauren told me your pregnant and haven't got much.
Well im also pregnant (its a secret for another 4 days though until my scan so shhh :])
And I have some spare stuff you can have?
I have a bag of baby bottles, Avent ones.
They don't have teats but at the moment the teats are on offer at Tesco's baby event.
And I can sort you out some newborn clothes to, I have bought so much I don't even think my baby will get through it lol.
I've only got unisex so far cause I don't know the sex yet.
Also in tesco they have a box of baby wipes, pampers one. The box has 9 packets of wipes in for £6 which is dead cheap, and they don't dry out or go out of date if you don't open them. So maybe if you bought a box when you had some spare money then that would help
Also do you have anywhere to sleep? As the news do a advert section at the back and it sometimes has baby stuff like Moses baskets in for cheap to
Another thing, when your 25 weeks + your entitle to a thing called a health in pregnancy grant. Its a one off payment of £190 and its tax free and wont affect any benefits your getting or anything. So you can use that to get some baby stuff or anything really its up to you
Also, sorry if I've offended you. Lauren told me you didn't have much and being as hormonal as I am it upset me a bit so I thought I'd see if I could help out a bit
Take care xxx0 -
EA,
I would suggest you add 'for baby' in case she thinks you are offering her somewhere to stay: ie -

Apart from that I think it sounds lovely and would probably be hugely appreciated.
But careful you don't give away too much as I'm told that you will actually need a ridiculous amount of clothes and whilst I was thinking that I would never get through everything I have been given I have been told by someone in the know that I will probably need more than I have - if that is possible. Think the wardrobe is in danger of collapsing under the weight, lol.

Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
the only bit I might change is 'do you have anywhere to sleep?'
You might be better off keeping everything up to the 'don't know the sex yet' - scrapping the wipes and moses basket bit (you could put this in another email). Then start again with the HipG bit and your last paragraph. Tell her you can let her know where things are on offer and where she can pick things up cheap if she wants you to.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I changed the bit about newborn clothes to say, "i can sort you out a few newborn clothes"
As we really do have alot, and i dont want to deny my mum of buying more lol.
I deleted the bit that you said about glam, i'll say instead "If i see anything that has any offers on baby bits i can let you know so you can pick them up cheap, if you want?"
I'll leave it as that and await a reply
Im off now OH is home!!!!
Night and thanks for your helpxx

If she is in a hostel then buying stuff and safely storing it would be a big problem, perhaps you could say you will keep the items until she has the baby or sorts a permanent place. (maybe say you will give them as a gift to baby on birth)
Also And i mean this sympathetically the bit where you say about buying the pampers may be taken out of context. perhaps suggest she buys a little each week to see her through the first months and offer to advise her of what she will need.
As she is young perhaps offering your support as a fellow mother to be on anything pregnancy related. OK that makes sense to me but who knows lol[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

woohoo - just sold my doppler. For 6 times what I paid for it at car boot and I used it for a little while :j:j:j
Just randomly decided to list some stuff and have probably made about £17 profit to go towards Moses Basket I bought the other day.
Has anyone else paid Boots.com via PayPal? I did this yesterday and it's still showing as Payment Pending - I'm hoping to pick it up on Tuesday :eek:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Sorry you had a rubbish day Glam. Hope your lunch tomorrow goes well and cheers you up.
This is the first day I haven't had anything planned and spent the day thinking about stuff from the class last night and watched a programme of a woman giving birth. Too much time on my hands! Ended up sitting crying thinking "what the hell have I done?!!". I am sure it's just normal but I haven't had time to consider this stuff before. Also concerned about my breathing and stuff. Really need to practice that or I will be panic breathing and be knackered before I have started.
Re. eating during labour, we were told we can eat before going into hospital and I doubt I will care about eating when I am too far into established labour, but was more concerned about the no drinking.
ETA - Hello Lil Miss! Definitely not long now!!0
