Evening!
Well i had a great day out shopping with my friend
We started in mothercare, i got a few bits like socks, mittens. I got a breastpad holder (it was reduced) and a first aid box thingy.
Then onto poundland, where i discovered my one doesn't sell breastpads. So i bought two baking trays instead
Tesco - Bibs and breastpads.
Boots- Gaviscon!!and its so nice i could drink the whole bottle! I cant belive i've denied myself of this taste sensation my whole life :rotfl:
Greggs - cold sausage and bean meltWent in the bin lol.
Asda - Lots of stuffsGot a micky mouse vest, a pack of vests with animal pics on them. And some tigger booties, and much more
All in all spent about £50 today, which isn't bad as £30 was in mothercare :rotfl:
I bumped into my mum and sister while i was walking home, they were getting take out! Im sad i dont live at home still lol.
But i made my mum give me a lift home as i felt so tired i wanted to lay down right there in the street.
How are you all this evening?0 -
Ive got a mega craving for cheescake the woman next to me in pizza hut had two servings might have some chocolate see if that stays the hankering i have.
Jillie glad your feeling more relaxed now and all went well for you ;-)
SJ congratulations on your order wish i could cook cakes they always come out like lead door stops when i try i do make a mean loaf though :-D
Just a thought SJ about your holiday have you seen the filter straws you can now buy to take with for what your drinking apparently they filter out any nasty bugs that might be lurking whilst you drink cant remember what they are called but i saw them advertised on the travel channel may be worth looking at as an extra precaution :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Hi all
Hope everyone is OK. I've not had much to say recently so have just been lurking although I can't remember anything I have read so far. Can't believe I am almost 18 weeks already, I swear my bump has grown by a couple of inches since last week, I am starting to feel huge now so god knows what I'll feel like later.
Does anyone else catch sight of themselves sideways on and gget a shock? I keep forgetting about it!
Had a random night last night, started thinking about the birth and panicking that I won't be able to cope with it and pictured myself sitting on the bed refusing to acknowledge labour and insisting the baby wasn't going anywhere. Got a bit panicky about it, but more chilled today.
Got consultant appt tomorrow for size (of me) and I think my heart murmur too, hopefully they will say all is OK, must remember to mention my headaches and my asthma attack last week. Also had about half an hour a couple of weeks ago when my heart was beating really hard for no reason.
Have had an achy belly today too, think I'm a bit tired and things are moving about inside which I hurting me. What a misery guts!
Sorry to run on and whinge, just feeling a bit sorry for myself.
Hope everyone else is feeling good!!

Whilst I remember, another thing that was said at PC classes last night was that we are not allowed to eat or drink in the hospital, so we should have a snack at home before going in. I thought this was a more old fashioned thing and that hospitals were less likely to insist on it. I understand it’s because if you need an emergency c-section, you can’t have been eating, but would you not think that drinking fluids was ok (at least for energy). She said sips of water if you are lucky! Anyone else know what their hospital allows? If not, definitely ask!
x
We were told to eat before you go in - not too much though as your stomach struggles to manage it with it and you will be sick.
Toast or a sandwich would be fine - it's for this reason they don't let you eat during labour (not that I can imagine wanting to eat)
My mum was forced to her insulin on the morning of her induction but she didn't want to eat breakfast - they forced her to do it. During labour her sugars dropped so low they were forcing toast down her throat while she was pushing!
They said we could drink and I already have my RLT in my hospital bag as I plan on drinking that throughout if I can stomach it.
Had a real sh1tty day - just about everything has gone wrong and I've just wanted to cry
Found serious problem with house which we've managed to sort (Phew!)
Late for clinic as had wrong time in my head
Go to eat my Subway - they've only given me someone else's and it's tuna!!! I can't eat fish - gross!!!
OH shouts at me for being pathetic and tries to force me into eating cos I hadn't had any lunch and not much brekkie. We end up in clinic shouting at each other
Have been told I won't need a sliding scale (a drip) during labour so will be free to move about but still can't use the birthing pool as I will be continuously monitored. Wee fine, surprisingly BP fine! 'Think he's head down' - that was reassuring! and HB fine!
Get home and realised I'd forgotten to pick up freecycle stuff for my sis - emailed girl to say I was sorry and could I collect tomorrow. Felt really bad then so went out anyway and she wasn't bl00dy in!!!!
Have put all my baby clothes away - have tons of 3-6 months and not much 0-3. Oops!!!
Roll on tomorrow - lunch with parentcraft girls, physio and then home!!
Oh and OH has said we can put cot up after 1st September (he is obssessed with baby being oldes in the year and thinks we'll tempt fate by putting it up!) He also sorted out all his clothes so house is finally getting sorted out :j:j:j
SJ - I'll have 400 cupcakes please!
Helen - you seem much more relaxed tonight
