purple - i bought some chewable gaviscon tablets cos they were the cheapest option in Asda the other night but they get stuck in my teeth i don't like them lol. I just suck them though but still end up biting. My acid reflux is making me depressed lol0

Oh cool
I dont want to risk it though, one day someone might say to me "can i see your card" and i'll be like "err no.." lol
I've decided, the Asda noodle snack pots are not suitable enough to fill me up. So coco pops it isx

yeah Beenie the tesco ones do seem to be better for that I had same prob with the real gaviscon ones they still go sticky . Still limited effectiveness though-I get acid reflux too-though it wasn't til I came on here that I knew what to call it (kept saying heartburn but in my throat-very long winded:rotfl:)0

Need a bit of help here, my sister has just called me and told me her friend (who is 16) is pregnant and has just moved into a hostel after being kicked out.
She's due in December and only has some baby bottles at the moment.
I said i would help her out in giving her some newborn clothes (i have tons!) and some bottles i got from freecycle and dont need.
But would you say is the absolute basic minimum that she will need?
She only gets £100 a fortnight you see so doesn't have much to spend.

Oh, EA that's terrible, I can't help with stuff I'm afraid, I haven't really started looking at stuff yet.
And coco pops sound divine, might have some cereal to top up my calcium intake!Boots: £107.xx on AC :j
Tesco CC: £48.00/ £192 in deals:p

EA
somewhere to sleep (moses basket - tend to go for £10 - £15 on ebay/car boot)
something to wear - again car boots - I picked up vests for 10p
something to eat - encourage her to breastfeed and then she won't have to buy formula (althou she will probably get vouchers)
Pram/puschchair - again can be got cheap
Nappies, wipes etc - she might be better off buying a little something everyweek so she can stock up but it won't pound the bank balance and will get her used to living off less money.
Don't forget she will get £190 HiPG and I would imagine the £550 Surestart Grant as well as Healthy Start Vouchers.
She needs to sort out somewhere to live though and shouldn't rely on housing to sort her out. My sister is 19 and pregnant and the waiting list is huge!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I want cereal but it raises my blood sugars - loads of sugar in there you know!!!
Just had tea followed by a load of sugar free jelly but I still feel hungry - not really eaten much today. Problem is we have no food in, tea was a bit like that advert where they open the fridge and find 1 egg and make a meal out of it :rotfl:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

The coco pops were fab lol. The milk was really cold and the baby approves of coco pops
Just not real food lol.
Its hard trying to think of things cause i can only think of what i want and need and cant really think what she would need.0 -

Thats a great idea, we need to have a lean one as well so I am going to suggest to OH that we go away to the lakes for one or two nights together before baby bean arrives and that can be our present to each otherDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Oh re birthing have been told ours in Dorchester takes 1 hr to clean, and if ist available you can use, they dont book it, but my midwife who has been there for 8 years has only had it happen twice where the pool was in use and someone else wanted it, they only put you in for later stages of labour and to give birth if you want so no one person will be in there for a long period of time. Im excited to get in.
Hi Nancmat, I didnt realise you were going to Dorchester, I am tooI am due 3 weeks after you though but small chance we would be in at same time!!
Still catching up, be back soon!! xxBaby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0
